No they don't - at least in the TD car which was brand new anyways (1st TD) - the doors are heavy and are well finished however - there is a secondary noise which is tough to describe - something amiss is how I would put it.

Please dont get offended - I am asking because :
ACI claimed it was 5.4 and OD claimed 5.65
When i drove it, to me it felt a lot bigger!

Again, i thought LT was about 12L on road. With Linea top end under 10L, difference should be at least 2L+ on road right?

Thanks guys. While fiddling around with the various knobs, I did click on the Windows Blue & Me button inspite of the sales guy telling me that the system requires a code for activation which they did not have. On clicking it, the FM stopped working and there was complete silence. After 15 seconds or so a rather nice female voice tells me " Please say a command or follow instructions". I did'nt know what to tell her, so I shut her off.

Anyways, I am attaching a few pictures. Have a look at the rear legroom in particular. Also, a few things that might have slipped out while writing yesterday :-

- The clutch is surprisingly light and easy on your leg. A first for any Fiat that has been sold here. The car itself feels lighter and easier to drive than the Palio.
- Brakes are really good with terrific bite even on versions without ABS

Bed -

1. Feels underpower (May be I am wrong, cause same day I had driven Megnum Diesel 130 BHP, accelarate it and feel the G-Power)

Linea diesel has around 90 bhp whereas magnum has 130 bhp so its obvious that it will feel less underpowered as compared to Magnum..

Took a test drive a while back and i am impressed, apart from power car's got everything lol

i mean to me it felt underpowered but its pretty neat for city driving, there is loads and loads of low end torque and low gearing also helps. there is no turbo kick feel as in swift, pulls cleanly from 1500-1800 RPM till 4500 RPM engine begs not to be revved , there is some diesel engine type noise till 2500RPM but after that it sounds nice, bit similar to petrol engine. gearshift are short and slots pefectly.

steering wheel was lighter than palio but doesn't felt dead as some other cars. interior are good but plastics could have been little better.

cabin insulation is amazing, no road/tyre/outside noise at all but engine exhaust noise was there in cabin just like palio, all around visibility is excellent i was more comfortable driving it than palio in city altho its a big car.

styling is fantastic front looks smashing specially in person..... looks lot better than pics lol . boot space is good, i guess class leading. head space is less in rear as said by everyone.

about service the sales person said the same thing that they are improving. even the sales person knew that i am not a prospetive buyer for linea i got good response. sales guy answered most of the question. about engine he told me petrol is 1.4 90bhp unit, he also knew that its sold with 1.4 77bhp in some places. he said that there is good response and there are 4-5 bookings even wihout knowing the price.

i guess if FIAT does something wrong again this time with A.S.S. they should pack their bags and go back home

EDIT: i guess steering wheel is similar to stock palio as my car's steering is little hard because of tyres.

As you can see in the pictures, the rear leg room is a bit cramped. But it is manageable. The exact power output can only be confirmed once the car is launched. It will most probably be the 94PS 1.4 FIRE engine. I believe the 77bhp engine is reserved for the Grande Punto petrol.

Here is the tentative price list available at Wasan Motors for Linea (on road Mumbai indl & comp respectively) :-

Linea 1.4 Active Petrol - Rs. 693391 & Rs. 736791 resp.
Linea 1.4 Dynamic Petrol - Rs. 728752 & Rs. 774392 resp.
Linea 1.4 Dynamic Petrol (Option Pack) - Rs. 760799 & Rs. 808469 resp.
Linea 1.4 Emotion Petrol - Rs. 771849 & Rs. 820219 resp.
Linea 1.4 Emotion (Option Pack) - Rs. 805000 & Rs. 855470
Linea 1.3 MJet Active - Rs. 793950 & Rs. 843720
Linea 1.3 MJet Dynamic - Rs. 828206 & Rs. Rs. 880146
Linea 1.3 Mjet Dynamic (OPtion Pack) - Rs. 860253 & Rs. 914223
Linea 1.3 MJet Emotion - Rs. 871303 & Rs. 925973
Linea 1.3 MJet Emotion+ - Rs.932080 & Rs. 990600

Top end Petrol at 8.05L on road Mumbai is a fantastic deal IMO.

Well the figures from Linea European brochures mention it as 5.25m. We will get to know the official figure very soon anyway

I am factoring in the discounts on LT. Also so far we don't know in which state the Linea prices will be as mentioned. Fora ll you know tht will be the figure in Chandigarh or Delhi-NCR where the ex-showroom figures are normally low, but the figures in other states might be high.

Anyways, 2 more days to go before the speculations are laid to rest

hey roms..
great pics dude!
yeah, the rear leg room does looks less but i feel it will be less for people taller than 5' 10".in case taller people are sitting behind the front ones need to shift their seats slightly ahead cause there is loads of space up front.
