@redff : Did you get 16inch or 17 inch alloys for your audi? How has been your experience driving over pot holes and rough patches? I am considering buying A4 in the next 5 to 7 days!

Hi Ashish, Looks like my reply might be too late. I got the 17" alloys. The ride is good , though slightly firm, improves a lot as speed picks up. She glides like butter on tar roads though. I've sat in the outgoing E, per say and in Mumbai did not find a remarkable difference for city commuting.

A year down the line and Nenya has gone for her first servicing. As a stroke of luck , a new workshop has opened up at Santacruz ( Kalina ) called AAdya Motors. Staff seems helpful and polite. The damages for the first service is aprox Rs. 14,500 ( rounded off ). They are throwing in a free polish job. I have changed to Bajaj Allianz Insurance that has brought my insurance premium to Aprox Rs. 78,000 with secure service ( I had a claim last year ) as compared to the insurance amount quoted by the showroom for the second year ( Rs. 95,000 ).

The car has held up beautifully , with just a few minor scratches as inevitable on our roads. Two of the most prominent are on her hind due to careless two wheeler riders hitting the brakes too late ( The last one as recent as last week ). She still looks like the hands down gorgeous show stopper she is. VIP treatment at most places guaranteed. My honeymoon period is yet not over and I often wash her myself ( an operation taking over an hour and a half ). But mainly, she still makes me stare and her and smile like a little kid looking at the biggest mountain of ice cream ever! And that is folks what I believe really sets her apart.

Hello Redeff,

Just read through your thread and loved every bit. I refer to the above post you had put which talks about you using the manual gear function on the A4 (mentioned as 8 gears). The reason i ask this is because i've recently purchased an A4 and i wanted to understand how you used this feature as the car does not come with paddle shifters and if i remember correctly it has 7 Tiptronic gears only (Automatic).

Also what is the Initial Run in period / kms for the car? Aren't the first few services supposed to be free like any other car?

Thank you for your help in advance.
