Great photographs, i think you should try some hand at creative writing.
In fact you already have written very nice narration.
you need to add a bit more, about food, about your stay, about the people whom you met, experiences on the way & at the destination and while returning.
Voila, your 5 star travelogue is ready.

your photographs reminded me of our 10 day Goa-Konkan trip way back in 2005 dec.
tonight i will again watch the 6 handycam cassets.
Thanks StarVB. I'll definitely try it to put together a travelouge for the next trip

Thanks, FastLove. Great to know that you're planning a trip to Goa. I'll be going again in 1st week of Sept & then on & off. Lemme know when you decide, we may meet there .

Its off-season at Goa. But the weather is fabulous. Entire Landscape is lushgreen. EVERYWHERE. To us all Mumbaikars, Its kind of 10-times mangified than Lonavala Amby Valley road for such greenaries & weather. The only grouse is no watersports are available, Shacks not raised at beaches, all because of off-season.

Share your expeiences - "Did You Know?" Series thread

Lineans,

As almost none of us owned a Fiat earlier & Fiat's past in India has a coloured history, obviously most of us were quite skeptical for even a minor item (as it invokes fear of long-term ownership experience). So, we (including yours truly!) tend to react to every small non-issue as well. However, almost every time afterwards we realised its a way of life & not an issue.

Almost all of us did not own a Fiat (leave aside Padmini) earlier. Linea being a new car & carrying certain first of its kind features/ equipments, there are certain items which I thought would help recent Linea owners if we earlier Linea-owners share it. Thats the objective of a new thread I've just created - "Did You Know?" Series.

This thread is an attempt to share with recent Linea-owners our experiences & some simple solutions of such non-issues so the ownership experience of possessing this beauty is fully enjoyed.

I invite you all of our little "T-BHP Linea-owners" group to share your experiences of smaller non-issues & the solutions you had figured out to share with recent Linea owners.

T-BHP stickers

Got my T-BHP stickers yday.

Ashwin - I remember you oredering it earlier. Pls post pics where did you stick it on your Linea.

Last 2 months, have not cared for my Linea. Now she is full of scratches, swirl marks etc. I've asked washer guy not to wipe clean daily now & instead only wash it every alternate day leaving the day in between as it is. This Sunday I think I'll have to "train" him how to take care of the beauty - 2 bucket process for washing. Washing with banyan cloth, wiping with microfibre cloth etc. Since its raining will not wax it but may use Formula 1 Wash n wax

PS: And this is my 1000th post

Seat Height Assembly parts & Levers (Modified ones) will be received by the vendor tomorrow i.e. 1st Sept.

Have fixed appt with the Vendor to come to Mumbai & with TASS for coming sat 5th to get it done.

Alongwith that, thinking of following to be done:
  • Engine Oil Changed - ODO shows 7500 kms & I think its time to get the oil changed for the 1st time. Have yet not tested it with fingers. shall do it today.
  • Front & rear bumpers has some scratches. also right side ORVM was it 2-3 times by oncoming vehicles with scratches on mirror cap. would like to ask them if they can do something on these by rubbing compund or some touch ups
  • Glove-Box fitting to be checked. There is always 0.5-0.75 cm gap between edges when its closed. Vinay Pillai's car's Glove box (pics in his ooty thread) is perfectly aligned
  • Underbody wash - Car has run Mumbai-Goa-Mumbai-Lonavala-Mumbai - some serious 1500-2000 kms run in muddy roads as well
  • Fiat Bage Rear
  • Coolant level to check
  • At Loanavala 2-3 times while idling, the car blurted out small whistle-type sound. When engaged in gear imdtly it vanished. What is that? Definitely nothing serious but want to get it checked
  • Clarify on ORVM heating
  • Front Driver door - small rubber bushing to fix (which is missing). Rear Left door - check rubber bushing/ packings for different closing-sound.
  • Driver Window - small "Tic" (only 1 Tic) sound only sometimes when pothole is hit. Never bothered to check. Want to just ask them do not want to get it fixed by opening doorpads as do not want any rattle to creep in.
aah..long list of small items. Would need something to spend time at TASS

This is one of the sounds I was talking about in my post. Except I get it when pressing the accelerator and more audible when car is stationary. Did not happen when I took it to TASS.

By vendor do you mean Tata Johnson? I was told they could get me an appointment with them ( since they are located in Pune) but I thought I will wait for some user reports before asking them to change it.
