@tejas

Anil, how much did you pay for the windshield film? What % of reduction is it?

I did not get the Front windshield installed as my trusted guy advised me against it. He says there is a vision obstruction during the monsoons & he said if i could live without it, it would be better. Since this car won't be used on longer highway trips like the Logan, hence i stuck to his advice.

What kind of switch was used for the fog lamp and where did you install it?
.
The switch is just near the key-hole. Will click a pic and post it tomorrow.

Did the door trim fit properly and without modifications with the damping in place?

Yes, the trim fitted perfectly. No issues.

Does the steering remote work properly (specially at straight steering position) since it is at the same level as the HU? AFAIK the remote is designed to work when the HU is at a lower level.

Steering remote also was perfect. No problems at all.

I have not faced this issue at all. Tejas do you get any visual obstruction?

I have the front one installed in my safari and OHC. Never faced any such issue. It is really helpful when parked under direct sunlight. I would definitely recommend it. The 3M one with 40% block for the windshield is unavailable unfortunately and thus not yet installed in my i10.

EDIT: The front one is clear and not tinted.

Nope, not faced either. However, i have not driven the car in peak afternoon. Will ask my dad though...

I have installed VKool 70 for the front windshield. Can that be the reason for reflection. Dont remember how it was before the film installation. Will try and post a picture of the problem.

Well tejas. the guy was just mentioning that because of a certain angle especially when there is water on ther windshield, there is a bit of obstruction. When you get it installed on your i10 let me know if you face any issues. If no, i'll get it done.

@sdh
I have no idea about it. the Accessories guy was persistent, but my regular fitter who works there has given me good advice in the past and told me not to get it installed. Lets see with Tejas' fitting, how it goes.

My latest mileage figures are 7.67 (slight drop from 7.98 last time). This time I filled 35psi on all tyres. Will see if there is difference in mileage.

No that will not cause it. The problem is that the beige colour reflects on the windscreen (which is at the perfect angle for reflection). A black colour dash would not reflect so much light as the beige..

I will keep you guys posted.

EDIT: sdh, just saw your last post. Even my mileage dropped the second time by a similar fraction. Atleast you are getting 2kmpl more than me. At 35psi, your car is gonna be real bouncy. Don't go over 33psi IMO.

Here are some pictures taken in the evening, it was cloudy at that time. Reflection of the vents below the wind shield and the curved part above spedo is clearly visible. In photo it is not looking as bad as it really is.

Congrats on your puchase. What is the cost of the HU and speakers? I personally think double din system will match perfectly with the dash of i10. How do you find the performance of your ice?

It looks this bad in the bright sun. Pic taken today morning. See the clarity in the rear view mirror. Front side should be that clear too.
