I have tints on my rear glass and the defogger works well. The Fiesta defogger switches off after 10 minutes even if you don't switch it off---that is what I remember reading in the manual.

thats a really wise choice frank. i think the only weakness of the otherwise absolutely brilliant package of 1.6s is the weak rubber. an upgrade to 205width rubber would do much good. please post some nice high res pics of your baby once you get her. especially pictures of the tyres and whether they fit inside the flared wheel arches.

thanks guys. i am running to the tyre showroom right now. but for the time, here are some shots of her taken with my Panasonic FZ-28.
JUST took delivery!
Rest assured, I shall upload atleast a couple of dozen shots once my excitement wears off. As of now, it's not yet sunk in. It will sink in surely, like a hit of torque.
Cheers till then. Enjoy the photos and do comment.

What! You call 195/55 R15 size weak? Then what would you call the sticks provided with most low end variants on the Marutis? And by upgrading to 205 section tyres, its not much of a difference (10 mm in fact). Ofcourse, he is planning an upgrade to the Michelin PP2s, which itself will be a big change in terms of ride and handling.

Great buddy! I would so love to own a Fiesta 1.6 S. I think the S with its upgraded wheels/tyres/suspension and stiffer chassis, is really the Icing on the cake of what is already a very good driver's car.

frank, have you also considered michelin primacy LC?
Heard that's the best (low noise + comfort).

How does Michelin PP2 compare with primacy LC ?

They are aimed at different users.

Primacy LC is a comfort tyre. For a car like the Fiesta 1.6S, I wouldnt recommend it. I would say PP2 is the way to go. It's a performance tyre.
