Congrats Riju!

Saw this thread now through a linky on what I got for being a tbhpian. I was following the other farewell thread to see if I could get a hint on your next ride :-)

Never knew it was your thread. The truck looks really nice.

Folks thanks all for your kind comments. I haven't been able to add interior pics of the vehicle yet. Yet to get seat covers and my account is already empty .

All good things have to come to and end pal. Quite a few things were considered before I arrived at this decision

1 - We have 2 petrol hatchbacks and a petrol sedan wasn't easy on my pockets(I mean fuel wise). With the number of out-station drives I do it wasn't working out cheap.

2 - If I had the money to buy a parking space in my apartment I would have retained the baleno no matter what(not that I sold my baleno to make space for the mhawk).

3- I wanted an SUV which could take me places unlike the sedan. I needed something with good GC and good amounts of torque to take me to our farm without much hassles.

Lohith the turbo lag is quite evident still about 1850 rpm or so and also no free revving you see .

Riju,

Congratulations on buying the new Scorpio MHawk. The vehicle looks great in white.

Do post the pictures of the interiors. Does this model come with dual a/c?

Have been hiding and active in a totally different part of the forum.

2 questions,

1) Did you consider the Xylo Eagle? Similar/same engine. The Xylo is more spacious. (but not as mean looking as the Scorpio.) Also, I dont think that has ABS, right?

2) What plans for ICE? I see talks must be on with Satya?

EDIT: Also time to edit your Garage.

Nope but there's 2 vents pointing to the center row of seats. Checked with the dealership they said they can convert it to dual AC for the center and last row at a price of close to 30 grand.

Nopes Danny , I had driven it earlier when I was invited for the launch by a certain dealer. Felt like I was on a boat and I never even had it on my list.
I think the top end model E8 has all the bells and whistles.

The ICE is finally done , I cant stop grinning when I play music. Sounds perfect for my kinda music.

Here's the list for now
  • - Kenwood KDC-BT7043U HU
  • - eFX Components front door components.
  • - Boston Acoustics sxi 606 Center Door components
  • - Rear Door eFX 6 x 9
  • - 12" Sub from Hifonics
  • - 2 Amps from my older car ( eFX and Volfenhag)
  • - Ported Box
  • - RCA cables from Stinger
  • - Power cables from Sound Quest
  • - Distribution Block from eFX.
Pictures will follow soon. Spent a good part of my Saturday with neeliraven316 at EVO and the job was done to my satisfaction.
Fiberglass work for the center door components yet to be done. For now we have installed spacer rings and doesn't look that great to my eyes. So eventually that will be done up by Satya when I find time.
Spent close to 38k on ICE and sounds bliss to me. At the end of the day methinks every penny spent has been worth it.

The 38k excludes the 2500/- I had to pay my wife as charges for shopping since she was there at EVO and decided to go shopping all by herself during the installation.

Additionally got the reverse parking sensor(Hiker) and 90/100 headlamp upgrade done.
Paid 3500/- for the reverse parking sensor thingy and 1100/- for the headlamp assembly upgrade(includes wiring, relay, ceramic holders and bulbs).
Seat covers and alloys still pending and am already broke .Satya thanks for the lovely burgers and the coke.

Couldnt take pics since I had a hectic weekend. Hopefully some time soon I should be able to make time and take some pics. Until then C'yall .

Hello R J,

I joined the party late but nevertheless congrats for the great buy. M hawk muscle looks really great compared to its predecessors. I would like to know which beam does your 3003 carry. How was the mounting done. Are the clamps welded on to the crash guard or fixed them over a seperate mounting bar ? I would like to see your car personally. can we plan it sometime ?
