Friends
After having driven my cruzze for almost 200kilometers I have no doubt left in my mind that it is a true driver's car but it is very tough to keep the speed and revs low for the first 1000 or so kilometers.
Does anyone have any idea about the run in period for the cruze ? and do I need to keep the speeds low or shall I pay more attention to the revs as when you are driving with a light foot then the revs are never over 1.5 to 2k!!! @110kmph the rev meter showed 1.5k

Thank you

Congrats on the car. Cruze auto is a welcome addition to the options in the segment.

Do enjoy many more miles on the auto Cruze. Do post more pictures

Isn't it a 5 speed automatic?
cruze has a 6 speed automatic. I dont own one but have test driven one, and i think its widely discussed in these forums.

Congrats on the beauty, love the way it lights up inside in blue when you open the door and love the steering wheel too. Do post more pics and drive safe.

Congrats buddy on your new Cruzy ! This is the first time ever I have seen this color on the cruze and it surely looks awesome. Is this a new color launched recently or it was just me who haven't seen it much often ?

Thank you all nkrishnap,prguru,repsol,boruwa

@PRGURU:-
Sir even I love the blue light interior space especially at night and I have the civic also which also looks amazing but in comparison the Cruze beats it hands down.
(I am a bit busy today so I will try and click night shots of the Cruze and Civic and post them together....this should be interesting?)

@REPSOL:-

Sir this along with red was the colour in which the cruze was launched intially along with the other colours viz.:-Black,olympic white, light gold, misty lake.
Only Diamond White was introduced later with the introduction of the automatic variant and that colour is not available in the base LT version

Initial Driving Experience:-

I have now driven about 200 kilometers with my new beast and I am wanting to write a small wrap up about the same.

The PEPS system is very convenient and easy but it takes some time getting comfortable with as I am used to crosscheck my car after locking it but I cannot now as the door will open !!

All the seats are very comfortable and well bolstered and the driving seat offers you an amazing view of the road ahead and you see almost the entire hood that too with the seat all the way down!!

The automatic gearbox is a real joy to use with it being mated beautifully to the engine and power being available at all times without the need of pressing the full throttle.
The 6 gear ratios are beautifully divided which always keep the engine revs in reasonable limits.

The steering is joy to hold and use the steering mounted controls which never let your hands go off the steering (even your left hand because you dont have to change gears ) and eyes off the road.
With the OEM JK Vectras the steering felt pretty light at all speeds but the Conti's have corrected that and now it weighs up beautifully with speed.

The OEM Audio unit is a joy to use and hear as well with infinite settings available.

The air conditioner is also very effective and chills you to bones in no time.

The smart screen gives you a different feel altogether as this seems to be the only car under 30Lacs to offer a full fledged screen for car settings and all.
I want to call it the segment's Idrive.

The sunroof is pretty much useless in Delhi as in other major cities due to the pollution level though while driving at night you like opening the shade below the sunroof and you get a lovely view of the night sky.

All questions are welcome and I really appreciate your responses.
Thank you

Good pictures

How would you rate Civics Rear seats compared to Cruze ?

Few more requests in pictures if you can try
  1. Interior pictures at night with lights in central console
  2. Seat fully pushed back with someone seating at the back will give clear picture of cramp rear seats talked about
  3. Cruze and Civic together with front and back

I know too much of a request

With regards to your first question:-
In civic You sit much lower and though that gives more headroom it is also becomes irritating as you have to virtually enter into the rear bench while in the cruze the seats are comparatively higher and inspite of it being a low car you never have to sort ingress into the car but it has less headroom at the rear(no denying that fact) but the legroom is more or less the same.
What goes into the Cruze's favour is its suspension while the civic breaks easily even is a tiny uneven patch on a good road the cruze holds on and covers them with a thud kind of sound which you get in the Laura.

I will try and post the pictures in some time.

Congrats buddy - the interiors look great in cruze AT!

I was driving a chevy cobalt the last weekend, and while picking up the car, I casually let know the rental guy that this car is going to be replaced by the cruze soon.
When I returned the cobalt - the rental guy had checked pics of cruze online and he was quite impressed!

Yeah that should be interesting and nice pictures. Talking about PEPS I think it auto locks after 5 seconds irrespective of you being outside or inside.
