I sometimes feel the horn is sounding a bit coarse inside. Is it because it maybe touching some metal part? From outside, it sound perfectly loud & clear...

Hi Raj.
The horns that you got fitted , do they sound similar to the ones in Polo's and vento. Also did they fit any relay for the same .

Im planning to get the horns similar to the ones in polos , they sound awesome.

No, I got the horns fitted in the stock location, so no relay was required.

Yes, they sound similar to Polo & Vento.

re: Story of my Italian horse - Fiat Punto 90HP. EDIT: Sold!

A SMALL UPDATE:

I am not happy with FIAT as far as fit & finish is concerned. I had thought, being a tough & heavy car (like my scorpio), the Punto will be free from rattles & squeaks. I am proved wrong.

I drive my car very gingerly. Once in a while, it has gone over a unnoticed pothole or scraped its bottom, but no rough treatment to it till now.

Yet, in just 9000 kms, the car is squeaking & rattling from 4 different places - rear parcel tray panel, dashboard left side, left front door, inside dash near steering column. To be fair, the noises are really low & we wont be able to hear them even with low volume music but it really bothers me. I like a tightly screwed car devoid of any noises, except mechanical. Did not expect this from you FIAT. Hyundai i20s are built much better.

Meanwhile, a rick scrapped my car yesterday leaving a small scratch on it's bumper. I love my car a lot & cant see scars on it. I took it to the FIAT A.S.S yesterday & they quoted 3k for the small scratch. More than money, the issue is, when I gave my car to them for painting earlier, paint spots were visible on my windscreen, side windows & even my alloys. It was a very shoddy work. So this time I have given it to a local garage. They did a pretty good job on my innova. My car has never been to a local garage before. I will get the car today evening. Please pray they do a good job!

raj_5004 sorry to hear about the scratch and I know how it feels when your car suffers for no fault of yours !! :(
I hope everything works out well.

Is there a solution for the rear parcel tray rattle which seems to have cropped up slowly but surely in my Car as well. Though I own a Getz, I am posting this question here since raj has a similar issue on his Punto which almost as new as my Getz.

One of my friend has done a DIY in his car. He has used double side tape as a damping material to solve rattling issues.

re: Story of my Italian horse - Fiat Punto 90HP. EDIT: Sold!

I have tried double sided tapes and even tried stuffing a cloth in between the panel raj but to no avail. :(
In my old car (Santro) I had speaker boxes fitted in the boot which had eliminated the panel completely. In Getz, the rear shock absorbers housing protrudes into the boot and hence this box is not possible. Any other ideas or suggestions please ?

In fact Punto is a good car.But we people are not that much generous to sell it at a throw away prices as a used car. Being under Tata's care due to one or the other reason though it is good it lost its charm. The white with black roof is really so cute.

Hi Raj
I am coming to forum after a long gap. The new flavor looks great.

After the thread name similarity, now I saw one more, just add '1' to 23 and 22 and you have my car's number.

raj your Punto looks fab now under that Black Vinyl man.

Is this Vinyl exclusively for Punto or can this be done on any car ? It would be a great help if you can guide me sourcing one from my Getz, which has been long due.

Thanks buddy. You can get it done at any sticker shop on any car. Go to a reputed car graphic store. There are vinyls ranging from Rs. 20/sq.ft. to Rs. 200/sq.ft., depending on the quality.

Thanks buddy. I dont think Hemant will do this. His style of mods is different. He wants to give an ABARTH look to his punto.
