Get the Swift Zxi wheel combo.. 14" alloys with 185/70-14 tyres

speeddevil: dont think you will get exchange of 1500 rs per tyre, max is around 900 to 1000 bucks per tyre. Rim and wheel caps will be Rs 0 at times, so better not sell em off and try selling it to a gujri guy for better price.

Zxi rims works fine till 195 65 14, i have em :)

I'm not a big fan of alloys, but i like the performance boost i get with wider tyres.
currently running 185/70/r14 on my swift ,which is kind of the limit for stock rims.. it was brilliant initially, but now that i've peted my car, its doing higher speeds. still no problem with traction or braking, but i dont want to wait for an accident to happen before i change the tyres.

question-
anywhere I can source 15 inch steel wheels from?
with a PCD of 100 and 4 holes for the nuts, which other car can i look at for OEM steel rims?

dont tell me to get alloys, because, I think they are a waste of money.
the only way they are useful is to upsize your tyres

Just got my new Swift Vxi couple of days back. I have zeroed in on Yokohama's C.Drives but for some reason their availability is rare in mumbai. I called up Saifee(Santacruz), Bombay tires(milan) and Premjis(Mahim) but they din't seem to have them. I am looking at 195/60/r15.

Bombay tires is selling yoko's for 3950/-.
Saifee is selling Yoko's ES-100 for 3500/-
Premji's din't have C.Drives and was keen on selling Michelin's MXV8 to me for 4600/- with 4 yr warranty

Q. Should i be going for Es-100's from Saifee or look somewhere else for C.Drives?

Q. Is the price quoted by Saifee good enough for ES-100's?

By the way, I am not a Gung-Ho driver but definitely want tyres good on grip and the X-factor.

My Swift LDI is getting delivered this week. After scouting around the forum for a few weeks, I thought of upgrading my tyres to 185/70/R14 on stock rims. I dont want to put alloys as I'm not too bothered about looks and dont plan to upsize to a larger tire size than 185/70. I wanted to know if there are any problems in mounting this tyre size on the stock steel rims?

I checked the prices of Yokohama tyres around Milan subway. I've been quoted 2750 per tyre by Bombay Tyres and 2500 by another dealer in the same area. I wanted to know if there are any other models besides the A/E(?)S 300 available from Yokohama in this size? Also, are there any fakes floating around? If yes, how can I make out the difference? I'm getting 900-1000 per tyre for the stock ones.

I've never bought tyres before in my life so the whole experience is quite new for mestupid:. I would really appreciate your inputs and suggestions please:.

In 185/70-14 u will get Michelin Energy XM1, Yoko A300 and Bridgestone GIIIs.
XM1 and A300 are very good comfort biased tyres with excellent ride comfort and minimum road noise. U may choose any of the two depending on the looks and your budget.
GIII is an outright performance tyre with an average ride quality. It will also be difficult to source the latest stock of GIIIs in market.
