Hi Prabhu, apologies for the late reply, for some reason, I didn't receive any notification. In that case Ceat or MRFs would be good. Earth 1s too are hard but mine has already got two punctures.

Re: Yokohama Earth-1 Tyres (designed for India)

Yokohama dealer is doubtful of fitting 175/70R13 tyres in Kwid. He thinks that it may touch the wheel well when fully turned. As this size is rarely moving he is hesitating to proceed. Currently I am in a confused situation about the tyre change.

Finally, decided to move on with Earth-1 Max tyres. The yokohama dealer has confirmed that the stock has reached him. All the 4 tyres, manufactured in december 2024 and the sticker on the tyre shows Earth-1 MAX with pattern name as E400

Re: Yokohama Earth-1 Tyres (designed for India)

Changed new tyres today, it looks good with little extra muscle (compared to 155 tyres). Just drove 30 kms back home, didn't have a chance to drive on express highway, Will check it next week. My impressions on new tyre..

1) Steering is a little bit tight.
2) It feels steady at small curves even at 90+.
3) The vehicle is eager to move freely, which shows
that they have worked well on rolling resistance.
4 ) It is super silent on good roads and at broken
roads it is not that silent but manages well and
better than stock ceat.
5 ) Pickup seems to have improved, the acceleration output is immediately felt.
6) It picks up small stones when travelling on mud roads and the "music" is played when back on normal roads.
7) It doesn't feel like driving a kwid

I cant say about comfort and braking because it was a very short trip. Will update later.

I had JK tyres before Yokohama & didn't face this issue. But after Yohohama were fitted, this is a weekly exercise to pluck small stones from tyre. If I fail to do this then the tick tick tick sound increases with speed and not possible to drive with an open driver side window.

Apart from this, these tyres are very good. Saved a lot on fuel in 5 years.

Happy to hear that and while comparing other benifits from these tyres, that sound doesn't feel to be an issue
