That is really special, thank you for sharing. Was it common practice in the United Provinces to attach the price in the registration book? I've never seen something like this before.

Re: Cost of classic cars when new? Pics of invoices included

Here is an exhaustive price list from the Ford Motor Company of India, Calcutta branch, from October 1935. It seems to be a dealer bullettin.

Models ranged from the entry level Deluxe Roadster at Rs. 3,565, up to the Fordor Touring Sedan at Rs. 4,270. Note the mention of less common bodystyles being available via special order, with 4 months waiting.

Re: Cost of classic cars when new? Pics of invoices included

An early leaflet from Escorts for the Polish scooter and motorcycles (later called SHL?) Strange to see them just called Polish.

Note the estimated prices, this must be prior to launch. The scooter was Rs. 2,100 and the motorcycle was strangely cheaper at Rs. 1,900. Can anyone estimate the date? Unfortunately I do not have the source of the image.

To engage reverse on the Amby, in the neutral position, one had to push the gear lever as far back as it would go (away from the driver) and then down. Fourth was straight down and second was to pull it towards the driver as far as it would go and then down. Opp of fourth and second actions were first and third.

Drove a brand new Mark III (KRV-1734) from 1979 to 1986; and never had a problem. We still have the car. And this was coming off a 1969 FIAT (KLV-1418) on which I learned to drive
