That's a 1947 Buick and a V12 Jag both belong to the same owner

Thanks Karumbaiah,

This car has been in very very long term ownership with a senior gentleman, who is very passionate of the Morgan. Lot of people have approached him to buy this car over the years. The owners passion for this car has not diminished over the years. This car came with the Standard Vanguard engine. When I visited him a few years back, he offered to allow me to drive the car, but I politely refused for I did not want to be seen taking advantage of this hospitality.

Great to know the Jag is now in this collection. It was imported back in the 90s by a gent who lived down the road from me, he used to race back in the day. What a sight this car was when it first came! We'd never seen anything close to it as kids...

OT - the owner was also building a Lamborghini kit made of fibre - wonder if it was ever finished.

I believe this car was at Nagpur with an owner till about 5-6 years ago.He may have owned it for a few years. I will post its pictures soon.

This car travelled a lot, Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Nagpur, Delhi and now Mumbai, not necessarily in that order. Was lying at dealers in sad state, mechanicals were well sorted in Nagpur, now maintainance will be required to keep her going.
One needs to get used to the shape though.

Isn't this XJS the one that was advertised in autox recently, by the Parsi dealer based mostly out of Nagpur, and partly from Bombay? I heard the car went to someone in Jaipur. What's with the fascination for white stripes (or any other colour for that matter)?

A friend here in Calcutta sent me this photo of an awesome Jaguar D Type repro that resides quietly in South Calcutta. His friend took this great photo as it was into a garage for some work. Hopefully I can find out who owns it and have a chance to visit and listen to it "Purrrrrr". I understand it's running a ford V8 engine. Not too many know of it's existence.

It belongs to a Punjabi businessman to the best of my knowledge. The V8 is probably off a Cobra, bored out to 7.5L.

Is the donor Cobra in question resident in Delhi/Noida area ? Recently some one was looking around for a Ford V8 + Drive Train .

I wish these were street legal (seen this car being driven on public roads without reg plates/not to mention these are not registrable in india) alas some folks really have kahunas to drive these on public roads. I would be just paranoid of my life getting complicated if me and the car were involved in some unforeseen situation where the cars anticidents and how it came to be driven on the road etc came into question/became a reality. Too much headache even if money was no object. I suppose personal experience/pain is the only way to wisdom for some
