Interestingly, for export, Chrysler would put a Dodge front clip (grill and front bumper) on a Plymouth and send it on it's way. Perhaps for greater profit to Chrysler. Does this one have the Dodge front-clip?
Hi, this is an Indian Chrysler product, assembled by Premier Automobiles. That is even reflected in its chassis no. The correct designation was Dodge Kingsway, year 1957. Identical car badged as a Plymouth Savoy was also available, difference in the trim. These were all manual transmission cars. This car has a Dodge fron clip.

Cheers harit

Perhaps the Plymouth was a cheaper brand in the Chrysler hierarchy as compared to Dodge. Chrysler used to be and still is the most upmarket brand from Chrysler.

The Chrysler brand hierarch was Dodge, Plymouth, De Soto and the Chrysler and the top of the line was the Imperials.

Dear Manish, having read your comments and those of Harit I am in agreement with both..But I feel all our main concerns should be the fast vanishing mechanics to work on these cars..Perhaps that may be one reason for cars to come out only for rallies?I am fortunate ...SO FAR.. to have a good team looking after my cars failing which even I would not be able to drive them daily..So hats off to those unnamed dedicated guys who look after our cars

Recently a Herald has been done up and sent to hyderabad, the dodge kings way in one picture is the current ongoing project. there is another dodge kingsway in line for the resto. Apart from that the current generation cars are also worked on. The NSU Prinz is also lying there for resto.

Here are the pictures of another dodge kingsway
