Here is a neat 47 (?) Dodge sedan spotted in Bombay. I think the rear windscreen is enlarged.

Hi Karl,

Is that Plymouth in the 2004 Pune Rally a 1938 or 1939 model? Surprisingly does not have a crank hole. Any idea where this car is now?

I assume you mean 1928 or 1929. Either ways, I wouldn't know. It is safe in a large and enviable collection in Bombay/Pune.

Karl , the dodge is a 1946 model. But not your fault as it has trims on the rear fenders which came in 47.Both the windscreens were one piece ambassador mutilations. The front two piece frame was later sourced from poona and though still horrible at least its a split.other wise a lovely daily driver. And not a fluid drive Any idea about the owner?

I have always wondered how to differentiate between 46, 47 and 48 Dodge DeSoto Plymouth Chrysler - can you elaborate further?

It is a nice colour, seems to work even though it appears to be a modern shade (Maruti Swift Dzire/Hyundai Santro?). Did you source the glass from the Dodge disintegrating at Camp? It had no front end as I remember, and in the plot opposite there was a 51 (?) Chevy gone in the ground. And maybe you can source the rear glass/frame from here

We would be grateful if you could share pictures of the front end and interiors.
