I spotted this Lanchester in Jaipur during the Diwali holidays. A superbly equipped long distance car, I would have loved to keep her. Car must have been modified, there was a water container on the mudguard for the radiator, very elegantly installed.

I think that the Lagonda has been in India before a few years ago. There will be pictures on this forum. I remember that they started in Kerala and went to North-East India via maybe Hyderabad, the run was called something with "Great". Someone please find this, I could not.

If am not wrong it was called 'THE GREAT ARC',was a repeat of the route taken by the great surveyor EVEREST, who travelled from the southern tip of India upwardsto the base of Himalayas. Incidently Mount Everest is named after him.

Guys, why dont we do drives similar to ROARR? Many have told me that Ladakh may be over ambitious. Others say lets do it. My suggestion is lets plan a smaller one initially, maybe to the various forts and palaces of Rajasthan? If sufficient people are interested, we can form a small working group, plan logistics, and schedule the run for the coming winter.

I did draw up a plan for Rajasthan and will share it shortly. Working the route out. Simple nice and great places to stay and be hosted.

Today, incidently, there was a VCCCI rally in Mumbai. Check the VCCCI website if you don.t believe me.

I went as a visitor, conserving energy and resources for the Mercedes Benz Club drive in the evening.

It was great to meet up with so many friends, make new ones and generally chat on what is going on. Whenever anyone puts up pictures of the event, one will see many cars and regular participants missing.

Again there is a Darby today, and again I want to try and attempt to guess the Jackpot, restricting myself to the cars.

Potential prize winners likely will be, in alphabetical order

P.P. Ashar
Fali Dhondi
Nishant Dossa
Dungarpur
Gamadia Bros.
Vivek Goenka
Sameer Kadam
Vijay Mallya
Yash Ruia
Madan Mohan Yadav
Amal Tanna

As I don't have an entry list, I may have left out some serious candidates.
These prizes include the properly judged cars, judging done by Sanjay Ghosh metriculously without bias. I believe Yash did not have his cars judged by Sanjay, all very ethical. Even Manvindra did not arrive in the morning to judge cars

But there will be other prizes for those who Sanjay did not award. And then the event will come to close with a dinner at Woodhouse club.
This is an attempt, remember its not easy to win a jackpot

Yep I saw one this morning on the way to work, a big green convertible car with '8' on it driven by a young guy at bandra reclamation. How come you didn't tell us about this event earlier?

As per the participants list which I got today morning, this is a Ford A 1928.
But if you saw this car, then it is a Buick!!
