Came across this interesting looking car in the 1982 Telugu movie Justice Chowdary.

It is quite a low slung two door coupe. With a removable hard top (?). Because in the subsequent scenes, the car is driven around without the hard top.

Registration number : MSM 5137

Can the Gurus identify this car please?

I guess this seems to be a Truimph TR4 / TR5 or a TR250 The video aspect ratio distortion is making it appear sleeker than it is.

And in one of the photos where the hood (bonnet) lettering is visible, the 'I' seems to have fallen off, so it reads 'T R U _ M P H'.

It is a Triumph TR 4 of the 1960's. The grille has been blackened whereas it should be of chrome. The repainting work appears to be not so good.

That's a lovely find, thanks for sharing. This car survives in Mumbai, though modified many times.

The Model A Ford roadster from this film survives in a private collection in Indore. Used to attend events in Mumbai in the 1970s.

The RED one is a Rover. I think it was called the ROVER 1000. There is one near my house in Bathinda, will take you around to see if you want.
