Palamcotah (Palayamkottai in Tirunelveli Dist, Madras Presidency) likely. There was a 63rd Palamcottah Light Infantry Regiment in the British Indian Army.

I'm imagining how much fun it must have been to undertake even short journeys in those early days given that cars were a novelty.

No crowd, no traffic, narrow roads, lush wilderness all must have made all those trips enormously adventurous and exciting compared to present day where lots of factors are sorted out and journeys feel so routine.

Certainly a Buick, perhaps a 1931/32 Tourer? I think wooden wheels were offered till 1930.
