On road price with insurance from VW is Rs 10,38,000.

Congrats on your latest 'Auto-Shopping' D'Artagnan and Welcome to the GT Club. clap:

OTR for GT TSI in Bangalore now is Rs 10,38,000 :Shockked:

I completely understand that the GT TSI USP (Unique Selling Point) is that DSG, but VW must consider MT version as well sometime in the near future. I had no clue GT twins were priced closer to Verna CRDI models in Bangalore.

The Linea is an immense VFM deal right now, with discounts galore.

Thank you Avi ,

Yes I checked both the cars. Honestly City is definitely a better car to drive in traffic conditions and I still like the car.
Linea comes with its own positives on quality , build , nvh, stability, etc ..,.
With the excise soaps lifted City Idtec Sv is now costing 12.3 otr in Hyderabad + i need to shell out another 20k at least for some minimal things like mats etc which pushes the price close to 12.5.
With Linea I see a straight 3L saving which will give me less stress financially.
Hence the inclination based on my personal priorities , also as many agree Linea is definitely a pretty good car.
I will surely capture all the details in the ownership thread.

Cheers,
pdma.

Pricey little hatch back. Had to push myself hard to book an petrol hatchback for 10L. On road price with insurance from VW is Rs 10,38,000.

Congrats for your new car. A great machine to live with.

Between, I am a bit worried about the premium hatchback market in India. It has become extremely pricy.

Tell me about it. At 10.5 Lakhs (with warranty) this takes the uncoveted price of being the most priciest hatchback. 10.5 Lakhs repeating that so it may seep into everyones mind:Frustrati: My dad is still pestering me to get a Fiesta or Verna for the same price.

VW should offer free insurance or free extended warranty for Bangalore customers at least.

Thanks I look forward to owning it. Our Indian tax laws seem to be in favour of slowing us down without prioritising on adding new features or improving its safety features.

Thats too steep man. But Carwale website shows the on road price at 9.92L as below and this includes Insurance. What did you pay 50K extra for? Any accessories?

That's the old price, prior to the hike. 10.38 + 13k is the price with extended warranty, and insurance. Let me check with another showroom in Bangalore just to be sure.

Now I'm starting to think if I should cancel my booking or not. Should I cancel it or keep it? That's the question.

Any specific reason for not getting the Fiesta?
Or even the Linea Tjet?

I am unable to figure out whether I should post this here or in New Car Thread (Mods, please move it to New Car Thread if need be)-

I had sent an email to Hyundai on 17-01-2015 to find out what is the exact waiting period for Elite Asta CRDi as below-
The "I Booked my Car" Thread-email-sent-me.jpg

On that I received a reply from HMIL on 19-01-2015 as below-
The "I Booked my Car" Thread-reply-received-hmil.jpg

and again on 20-01-2015 with email addresses of concerned Regional Offices as below-
The "I Booked my Car" Thread-reply-received-hmil-20-01.jpg

Then at 12 noon on the same day (20-01-2015),I got a call from 01204141230 and the conversation between us-
Lady on the Other Side- Sir, We have got your email regarding the waiting period of Elite i20 Asta Diesel in Star Dust Colour.
Me- I had booked the car at Gandhi Wheels Solapur and at the time of booking I was told the car has 1-1.5 months waiting period. Is it really that much?
Lady- Sir. The car has 2 months waiting period.
Me- But I was told 1-1.5 months.
Lady- No Sir, It has minimum 2 months waiting period.
Me- Why is that so?
Lady- Sir, the car is new and has too much demand.
Me- Ok.

:Frustrati:deadhorse (Limit of Only Two Smileys).

I have not contacted the Regional Office for my Territory- Pune and Mumbai.

Should I contact them and see if any positive results happen? Or there is no use of doing so too?

I have been waiting for the registration of my new car for 10 days, but the dealer is unable to do so due to issues at the Mumbai RTO post the removal of agents there. Does anyone have any update on when would the Mumbai RTO return to normalcy?

I wanted a hatchback specifically. My driving is limited to 80% city driving. I did not choose Fiesta or Linea because of resale. I dont mind selling it for a low price but second hand market there are very few takers for that particular model. I would have loved the Tjet type power and torque in the Tsi, wouldn't that be awesome!!

It commands better resale than a FIAT or a FORD.

GT Tsi. I am sure I will find a buyer in the future if I have to sell it. Some enthusiast or some one who wants an automatic to wade through current traffic.

BTW if you own a FIAT or FORD and feel offended or bad because of my comment, am sorry man.

Couple of questions:
1. Why is the waiting period 1 month in your case? any specific reason? Because when I had done an enquiry I was told I will get the car in 1 week.

2. Did you get a discount of 70K apart from the freebies?
