Kawasaki W800 showcased in Pune to gather customer response

A single unit of the Kawasaki W800 has been showcased at a company dealership in Pune. The company reportedly wants to gather customer response before officially launching it in the country. No specific timeline has been announced about the motorcycle's launch in India.

The W800 was globally launched in 2007, as a successor to the W650. It is currently at the end of its life cycle in various global markets. Kawasaki will be launching a Final Edition of the bike, before discontinuing it in the European markets owing to its non-compliance with Euro IV emission standards.

The classic tourer is powered by a 773 cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected, parallel-twin engine that churns out 47 BHP @ 6,500 rpm and 60 Nm of torque @ 2,500 rpm. The bike gets a 39 mm telescopic fork at the front and twin shocks with 5-way adjustable spring preload at the rear.

If it is launched in India, the Kawasaki W800 will compete against the Triumph Street Twin, Ducati Scrambler and Moto Guzzi V9 Roamer and Bobber.
