Rumour: MG Air EV could be unveiled on January 5, 2023

MG's mass-market EV is expected to cost slightly more than the Tata Tiago EV.

MG plans to unveil a new model in India on January 5, 2023. Reports suggest that it could be the much-anticipated mass-market EV. It has also been reported that MG might launch the Hector facelift on the same day.

MG’s second all-electric car for India will be based on the Wuling Air EV. It’s a 2-door, 4-seater vehicle that is expected to cost slightly more than the Tata Tiago EV.

The Air EV has a modern interior with twin 10.25-inch screens and a 2-spoke steering wheel. The seats have integrated headrests. While there is a pair of seats in the rear, the car only has two doors.

The MG small EV is likely to be powered by a 39 BHP electric motor and a 20-25 kWh battery pack offering around 150 km of range.
