Anyone on this list bought the N97? Any advise for/against a purchase? This is the first phone (I've come across) that costs almost 4K Rs less than the price quoted in the grey market - when checked last week.

Got an N97 recently. Too early to give a review. Trying to get use to it. Initial impresssion is have to click on too many keys to reach anywhere like contacts. Was using HTC diamond till now.

@Eddy: I got the E63 Black recently and I love it.
Some problems that I have noticed is that it freezes very rarely. However, I will be updating my software and will then see if the problem is gone.
I love the build, its very solid
I also love the keys, very comfortable to use.
Not too happy with the camera though.

In my opinion, for its price, it is one of the best Nokia's out there.

I am using karbon 330. It is a dual sim phone.Cost was 2400 Rs. Good for that price.Good battery back up. But the software is not very good. It lags behind when we are typing something very fast in dictionary mode. I don't like it as I send a lot of sms.

I had a terrible time with N97 for first couple of days. I had to restart the cell after every call and sometimes i had to pull the battery out. Today I updated the firmware and it feels moe stable.

the updates for n97 are out in nokia care or online software update.most of the complaints in the previous version are debugged.the price for n97 is 31200 in bangalore with official warranty through out the country.the phones seems to be very good with user interface.has a very good memory.the best part is d new software of google maps with latitude option.have any of you used it?

Hey, does anyone here have the Nokia 5800?

I've had a bunch of problems with it for the last couple of months (bought it when it came out in Jan)

Basically, the earpiece on the phone has some kind of loose-contact or something as the audio sometimes doesn't come thru and you have to press the earpiece area a certain way for it to start working again.

Also, the last couple of weeks, the screen gets all garbled every couple of hours or so. Just wondering if anyone else has had these problems.

Also, what apps do you use on your S60 touch (N97 owners can answer this as well)? where do you get your apps for the phone from? I've been using the Ovi Store for the most part but its a pain to navigate on the phone. Any other suggestions for getting apps?

hey adiyhyav,
the nokia 5800 had technical problems with the first lot.most of the phones had the problem of the earpiece.just walk into any of the nokia care & it will be solved with a software update.please ensure you save all the data.also they will replace the earpiece in warranty.they will not question anything as this was the problem in all the phones.
i hope this helps
