Thats why we have not closed on the location, lets get the final list of participation on 1st Feb after the poll closes, we will have the final numbers(almost), then finalize the place and staying options. By the trend it looks like 18/19 Feb is going to be the dates.

Voted for 18th & 19th Feb !!

Since most of us are planning for a 'Weekend Stay" with Bhpians & Family on this Mega Meet, how about Sakleshpur ?

I was just checking on some Getaway spots around Bangalore and thought this was the best bet. Check this Link please :

Rottikallu Homestay, Karnataka

Things I have no idea about:

- Route and road conditions. Have not driven this way for a long time.
- Need to check with this homestay owners if they can accomodate more than 50 visitors on one weekend.
- Conditions of the homestay. Looks good from the website though.

As per the first post by Avijit, the last meeting was with 22 cars! So, finding a right place may be difficult but not impossible.

Are non members (but passionate about Team BHP) folks are also allowed? I have a very good friend, i would like to get him in (assuming he is interested).

What do we usually do at such meets? asking as this would be my first time. Managing such a huge number could be a nightmare .

we could ask the mods to create an android app and iphone app for teamBHP meets. Number of people will be so large that the organizers will update anything they want to say, in the app, and other members could use this app to get updates on the trip

Yes planning on getting the CBR if it gets back from the service station in time (2 months and counting now). Else will be the Fiesta/City.

Yes, you can bring your friend, no worries. we do lot of things in such meet, just wait and watch!!!

Managing number may not be as bad as you think, atleast I have manged 54 with help from others.

Guys those of you are planning to ride, hope you could keep up with the convoy, no doubts on riding skill, but being with the gang is also important, just a thought came to mind.

Some of my colleagues and friends went there a couple of months back. They enjoyed themselves. It is a bit primitive (not 5 star luxury etc), but a great place for trekking and loafing about from all accounts.
Just FYI.

I am not on for this meet as I shall be travelling around then.

Road conditions should not be any worse than BLR-Hassan. The (in)famous ghats start after Sakaleshpur.
