All right it is final the date is 10-10-10 for a lunch meet.

I trust the following members are confirmed
1. issigonis
2. BolBolero
3. parimal_g
4. Nomadabhi + Dad?
5. MX6
6. khoj
7. kailashnj
8. SuperSelect

I have posted kailashnj and SuperSelect's names based on the list started in the original Kaas meet thread, trust both of them would be o.k. with this.
parimal_g, I have completely ignored your post regarding dinner on Saturday, you have no choice but to be o.k. with the same
BolBolero, I trust you will be able to convince the highvayking to join us.
MX6 I can pick you from Vashi highway if you plan to take a Volvo or the Thane station if you are coming by train, let me know your preference and time etc. We will have a 30~35 minute drive from either pick up point to LOP.

I would also request you guys to get on the phone with other members that you are in touch with and spread the word.

EDIT @clevermax This is Kaas

10 - 10 - 10 lunch meet sounds terrific.

I'll take the train mostly (nice place to park my car in station here) and get off at thane. If vashi is more convenient for you, I can get off at thane and take a local to vashi (takes 20 mins more).

Here's a nice idea I have. Let's go over to a place which has a 32" tv (min) with sd card slot. Even if it's not there in our lunch venue, we can go over to a coffee shop after lunch.
We can play as slideshow a collection of our photos at kaas over a kaas session!

Khoj saw how my photos looked in my tv. I'm sure he'd vouch for this idea. What say khoj?

Update about HVK. He can join on Saturday. Sunday he's out of station. And knowing HVK standards, the drive would involve atleast 1000 kms.

MX6

1. Thane is fine with me. Vashi by train would be travelling in the reverse direction for you. I just listed the options available, now frozen at Thane.

2. Yes the TV idea is a good one, it will be the icing on the cake. I would suggest others too to come with their flash drives, memory sticks and what not and relive that glorious trip.

@MODS

Request the date in the thread title be changed to reflect 10-10-10. Thank you.

@clevermax If you were to visit kaas yourself you will discover it is more potent than any drug.

Dear clevermax,
Kaas is a magical place near Satara (24 kms from Satara). It's a meadow on a hillock with valleys on both sides and for 10 - 14 days every year in late sept, wild flowers bloom all over kaas. There are over a million flowers in various colours and this spectacle lasts just 2 weeks in a year.
Further, there's a nice lake (kaas lake) in vicinity. This can be combined with a good waterfalls called Thosegar (which is terrific in monsoons) and chalkewadi windmill farms.
And there's a fort called sajjangarh near a hillock from where one gets glorious views of Urumodi dam and lake.
The whole place turns picturesque in sept and some select members from T-BHP had a blast during one of the weekends.
To celebrate the withdrawal symptoms we have from the great flowers, we are planning to follow it up with food this weekend.
There's another meet thread that talks about the glory of kaas with loads of photos. Have a look.

And Dear All. My apologies. HVK is out of station next weekend and not this weekend.

To make up for this mistake, icecream is on me (like last thane meet).

HVK is available either day and we'd be blessed if we can have him over!

So 10 - 10 - 10 Lock kiya jaye, and one suggestion, all the TVs does not have SD card slots and even if one has the browsing become very slow (at least in case of Panasonic), guys bring your cam also(with required cables), so that we can connect it to any available TV with those Cables.

Saar. When I connect my pentax to the tv, the upscaling done by the tv is poorer than when the tv reads from the SD card. But yes, I will bring the camera and the cable as well. Nowadays, SD input is standard with most tv panels.

So 10 - 10 - 10 lunch is locked. What time are we meeting up? I shall find the first train out of Pune to Thane and get in that.

Khoj. Thanks for helping pick me up.

Aaw. SO if that's the criteria then what about Anilisanil, Pjbiju? Pune is not that far from thane!
Not including 12mati and Bengybozs names as it involves considerable driving. But would love to have them too

Default KWS Vaccination dates finalized

Just saw the good news today morning as soon as I reached to work and logged in here.
So the KWS Vaccination dates finalized.
10-10-10 and the date itself points to the Kaas experience

10 points to Chalkewadi
10 points to Thoseghar
10 Points to Kaas

@MX, if you are coming by train then you have an option to drop by Kalyan. I can pick you up from station as I am staying @ Kalyan and its being on the way between Thane and LOP.

@BolBolero, @Khoj
I am not sure of my Dad coming along (he may not be comfortable with non-veg) but I am in. But thank you for considering him too. I will have a talk with him regarding lunch.

Received a sms from issigonis (Thanks dada for the same) about this. I am surely coming for this meet.
Would need a small favor though - My car is going for service on Saturday 09-10-2010 and I should get it back the same day. If I don't get it back on Saturday, can I hitch a ride with someone on Sunday?

Looking forward to meeting you all!!

Cheers
f1fan
