Arka the 1tonner badly needs a paint job.Now dont tell me that it would be done in 2011 TPC

BTW are the spares easily available for the 1 tonner? or you try accommodating the spares from some other model?

Hi Arka, Your 1 ton looks great, seeing one on the move after a long time. I was in school, when kids from army families used to be dropped and picked up in these, Shaktiman's and the officer's kids would be in Jonga's. Both were so silent and ran on the same petrol engine. Now they are phased out and run as some load carriers or cranes, here . Liked the pic. of your test drive and the spectator's shadows falling on the water. Regards,

Hi Joshguy,

I think the 1Ton needs a thorough restoration, after the diesel engine conversion, and then the paint job .

Spares are available for the 1Ton.

Regards,

Arka

If you are removing the engine...I have FIRST DIBS on it!! It may be thirsty but mah will it move an APC!

Spares are available. I just drove past CST road in Kurla and saw a bonnet in slighly better shape than yours.

Hi,

Good to see it still has the original engine.

Why dieselize?

Should mention that I always had a soft spot for the 1 Tonner, but after my not very happy experience with a Jonga, never worked up the courage to go hunting for one.

Enjoy your rides.

I think I have seen this before somewhere, probably got into the link from some other offroading post. The climb at the other end is real smooth.
