It's December 2015 model. The tenth character 'F' stands for the year 2015 and the nineteenth character 'M' stands for the December month.

I am about to take delivery of a Vento Comfortline, here is the VIN : MEXF1560XFT105820

As per this guide, I decoded it to be a June 2015 make and 2015 model. I was promised a September 2015 make. When I pointed this out to the dealer, he is saying that only the Chasis is manufactured in June and the car was assembled in October.

Is this standard operating procedure or is the dealer trying to fleece me?

As per this article, character 9 in Honda VIN represents manufacturing month. But in Internet, all other articles say character 9 is a 'check digit' which is used to verify the accuracy of the VIN. I am confused. I purchased a Honda Brio in Dec-2015 and the VIN 9th character is 'D'. So as per this article the manufacturing month is 'April-2015', but as per the Vehicle Registration details the manufacturing month is 'Oct-2015'.

Please help.
Searched on VIN decoders, couldn't find anything.

The vehicle is a Renault Duster. As per the sales man he says its from Oct 2015.

But after trying to decode it by myself i find it to be 2015- June.

Going by manual decoding, the month of manufacturing is June 2015. Verify with Form-22 certificate issued by manufacturer for confirmation.

Do the dealership submit Form 22 to RTO? I asked for Form 22, they said they submitted to RTO.

I asked for form 22 and dealer said its submitted to the RTO. My car has last two characters showing as GF. It's a Ciaz. As per dealer its a Nov 15 manufacture, but to me it looks like Jun 2015. Is my guess right?
