Ashwin as Navinji would put it "I would listen to atleast 3 brands before deciding."

Its all a matter for personal preference, you need to buy what you think sounds good to your ears. Iv heard the EFX as well as JBL you have quote and they are both VFM. A little bright (shiny sound) but it can be tuned to an extent to help.

If you can stretch the budget drop the 60.4 and go for the 75.4

We all live on budgets, well almost all of us.

Yet what I often like to do is compare 3 brands, choose one. then comapre that model to models one or two levels higher (from the same brand and other brands) so see what I will be missing.

I do that too, zeroing on a brand or a product i like the most from the choices available to me, then comparing it to a superior product and then something unintended happens. I convince myself that for a few extra bucks i could get a superior product. Do i need to say what i end up doing?

Are They Fake ?

I just got my Swift VDI delivered and now am in the process of setting up the ICE.
No NO, its not a post to ask for the recommended setup, I have gone throgh all the 62 pages of Swift ICE setup and have finalised following.
1. Pio 4950 HU
2. GTO 637c front
3. GTO 937 rear
4. with a option of including a amp at later date
This is based on the post by Gurus. My question is little different,
I have got a quotation from a guy which is
1. pio 4950 HU - 5000 (without B&W)
2. GTO 637c front - 4000 (with B&W)
3. GTO 937 Rear - 3500 (with B&W)
I have two questions
1. I doubt that the bill and warranty will be original ?( I know that the official price of speakers is 4950 and 6500). Is it possible for the shop to give me warranty card ?
2. Are the speakers and Head Unit original, I will not mind these without bill and warranty ( apologies Sam) as log as they are original. Are they Fake?
Help Gurus help, here comes a lost soul looking for advice from you enlightened ones.

Why co-ax if you want to go for an amp later?
Add 2k extra and go for compos, 607c would be a nice buy.

Loved the Infinity last time i heard it , maybe you should audition that too!

Since 75.4 isnt sold anymore and 75.4 delivers in 4ohms for 4 channels and hence, would it suit you combination?

Hi sarswift. I doubt whether you've got 637s after going through so many pages of this thread. And when I look at the 'c', I think it is a typo where you meant to put 607c.

Anyway, here are my views:
1. I don't think you can get 607c (if it is that) and 937 for 5k and 3.5 with B&W. It is way too low for B&W items.
2. They may very much be original. I've not heard of any fakes when it comes to these. However, I may sound harsh, but you can get these speakers for lesser if you're ok with no B&W.

Please avoid Sony, even though they're VFM (recommended for tight budget only). Pioneer amps are decent, but not great IMO. The 75.4 is a much better amp than 60.4 - unfortunately, both are discontinued.

GT5 amplifiers would be in the market in about a couple of weeks according to The Yeti.

If you want a warranty you should get a MANUFACTUERS WARRANTY not a shop wrranty what ever that means.

if the dealer is workin on very low margins he might. Since you are aware of the advantages and disadvantages of a warranty the decision is really yours.

There are some very good fakes out there. Getting a manufacturers warranty adn filling out the card is one way of ensuring that you are not getting fakes.

1. damping. damp the front doors. and hatch.
2. setup the front speakers to taste, then integrate the sub and lastly bring in the rear speakers.

Guys got it done my ICE setup at Anwars shop nice installation but damn costly paid 12.5K, he damped the front doors, hatch and put the MDF for rear coxes, wiring done with EFX cables for all 4 spekers and subwoofer(upcoming plan)and two separate power cabels from Battry to 4 Channel amp and mono block amp(upcoming plan).
Initially during tuning session one of rear 937 started tripping the Amp and some burning smell was coming out, got it replaced(even after it was grey mall), now the system is sounding awesome just taking it to level of 6 points and it gives good output and i remember during tuning we did it till 30.

Again need advice from Gurus over here my setup is done and quite happy with its all round perfomance, but as usual again the itching for upgrade started so thinking of one mono amp and subwoofer, setup is already done for both including power, audio cables and damping the hatch etc.
My choice is JBL 301.1 Mono Block amp with GTO1204BR sealed sub as i want tight bass, my installer was saying just buy Amp and sub box he will do as sealed boxes are bit big in size(is it true), need help.

Boxes need to be of a specific size. Too big or too small will change the character of the bass entirely.

Even if you make a box, you HAVE to make it of the size specified in the data sheet supplied with the woofer. And remember, a sealed or bass reflex box will have different sizes.
Sealed boxes are a bit smaller in size. I think it is safer if you buy a readymade box, than make it from this particular installer.
