That looks like some serious jump in upgrade, from RF and GZ amp to Genesis.
Go for it Frank(einstein) No doubt Genesis are way superior than many available here in the market. 3 amps that impresses me the most Genesis, Audison, Arc Audio. They are all one of the best amps to have.
And with DLS in company with Genesis along with the mighty Eclipse and Luccent sub it bound to be a great SQ setup.

Now I knew you were upgrading but din't know Genesis was gonna be part of the Luccent. They are bound to get musical. Awaiting the Installation pics to come up.

Can anyone say what's the Dampening Factor on the Genesis profile amp?

A wait for a setup like this is worth every min, every day. In the end the level of satisfaction with saving the green paper, getting the stuff is always gonna be higher.
Would love to see it get installed.

Just one question how safe is it to buy these used amps? I mean what possibly can go wrong with them to have a second thought? And why would one wanna sell them at even less then half the price ?

if one knows the seller, and its on a forum like team bhp, where the buyer and seller both enjoy decent reputations, i see no reason in buying an amplifier from someone. as long as the person gives a warranty that its not dead on arrival. a one week warranty would always be preferred. not much can go wrong with amplifiers if they are taken care of. its like buying a used car. you lose a lot of money in buying and selling these things.

I beg to differ.
A bad install or wrong tuning can reduce a monster amp to a piece of metal.

However in a car, the performance is depending on the installation and connection. A good car amplifier can get destroyed in a few weeks/days/hours if installed badly or incorrectly.
In most cases the car amplifier fails because of incorrect installation/cabling/tuning and not because of a manufacturing defect.
Unfortunately most car amplifiers are fitted by untrained grease monkeys around India. Nobody can remedy that situation.

We can only increase this warranty when we have control over how every piece is installed in the car.

true, but its all about luck. the amp can be fried in my own car for all i know! lol.. but this is high end equipment, and im quite sure the 'grease monkeys' used for its install will be slightly better than average.
im totally with you on that part, though, nitrous.

Am sure Genesis are much much reliable than the regular amps. But, I feel any product if abused can have a reduced life. It depends what sought abuse it is, incase of the amps it could be with the wrong wiring, polarity, voltage input, using under SPL purpose.
Interms of Amplifier, since its a electrical part I suppose chances could be higher ? I could be wrong, correct me if so ?

Now I do understand in this case it's a Genesis amp which is always used for better SQ / SQL and it's a high line product so chances of problem with it would be rare. What are the things to look out for when buying a used amp, before and after installation?
Sorry for going But, just feel this could help others too.

It would be better to search for already existing threads on the same.. if not available, start a new thread.

thank you abhay. in fact as the days to the installation draw nearer, i shall start putting up the date and time when the install is going to happen. according to my knowledge, i am going to call Hermit baba and fix what has to be done inside the car, and what must be done outside. the woodwork for the box(if there is any change in the present one) can start in advance.
also, my boot lid needs to be carpetted to hide the damping from showing and subsequently peeling off.
the parcel shelf too, might be replaced and the 3 large gaping holes (6'*9' x 2 and 12'*1) have to be sealed by MDF. might get a new shelf altogether.
lets wait and watch.
