AL offers 4921 in both "Cowl Chassis" as well as "Cab Chassis" versions. And i believe, this cabin is fitted from ALL itself, unlike cowl chassis where the customer gets it locally built. Moreover ACCL who supplies this cabin is an associate company of AL. That is why we find cargo cab parts like door, rear panels etc on it.
All FES & Cowls fitted on AL chassis at their factory are sourced from the like of ACCL, Krishna Fab, Prabha Engg etc.

Here is another pic of the same product offered in SriLanka market.

Not only 4921 all the FES models are available with Cab Chassis options. There are two types of Cabs as options apart from the standard OE fitted cargo cabs. These cabs are not fitted in the AL and are fitted only in the respective body builders - Prabha Engineers, Kailash, ACCL and then given back to AL RSO's and then sold to customers directly.
Cab from ACCL is mostly fitted only in haulage models and cab from Prabha and kailash are used in Tippers and Haulage models.
I believe the warranty for the Cargo cab is different from these fabricated cabs.

Surprisingly they were not driven and been carried in a trailor(seems to be a common sight now a days).
I believe if it was driven it would have escaped from that minor accident.

Yeah, it's sad to see a new truck all scratched up. I will say that the Prima trucks do happen to look rather nice though they won't be winning any pageants any time soon.

Ho.. that is a sad sight to see a brand new prima.
I may be stupid asking this question, are those front tyres deflated to prevent rolling.

210 BHP requires a bigger gearbox as in Tata 4921 which was fitted with imported Eaton gearbox and axle. The model wasn't successful due to high price and had to be discontinued. The new ..18 series has a desi gearbox and has replaced the ..21 series.

The new Toyota Hino trucks just looks like MAN trucks. I saw 3 trucks till now in Bangalore. A road construction firm has taken it. Also saw thier dealership near Innovative Film city in Bidadi.

Spotted twice, an Ashok Leyland truck with 4 axles - 2 up front, and 2 rear. But this was NOT a tractor-trailer setup. More like the Hercules that is featured at the start of this thread. Both instances were of trucks in use by VRL, so these are not export specific models.

I was not able to spot the model number. Does any one have details of this model ?

Condor - I guess you are speaking of the truck with "lift up" type axles. There is a thread here.

The Prima tipper in the previous page looks fabulous. The damage is nothing too major, and it tells me that the front panel is nice and modular for cheaper spares.

Thanks AshLey for sharing the pictures, appreciate it.
