The Nexon EVs dispatched from Pune have reached Hyderabad - deliveries would probably be starting tomorrow...

I do not believe deliveries will start unless the chargers are installed. They have mentioned in the email they sent that installation of the charger is a pre-requisite for the delivery.

That's been done at my friend's residence (Hyderabad) last week...

I got informed that my vehicle has been allotted and delivery is by 17th March. Hopefully, the lease provider does everything by then. I am yet to hear anything about charger though. Since the onboard charger is 3KW, what is the necessity of a home charger, why not stick it to a regular 16A or 32A plug.

I got a call from the dealer today that the cars will be delivered by the end of this month here in Vizag.

Regarding installation of home charger, TATA Power guy did the inspection and called back saying that the cost would be Rs. 5,500/- but didn't revert when I asked him to give an official quote with the BoM.

In other countries what I have seen the fire department requests the company to give a demo to fire fighters on how to handle EV fires. It's the fire department which should be asking these videos, or should be included in the homologation process.

In case of Tesla, they mark the high voltage lines(thick orange wires) with some mark where the fire department needs to cut in case of fire and extinguish the fire.

Looks good. The connector wire needs to be plugged in everytime I guess from what it looks.

It's a customised Legrand 9 module distribution box with an RCBO and a 16amp domestic socket & switch. The charger can be plugged in and the door can be closed, note the cutout for cable below the socket.
Ziptron badging is there on the door.

Charger is a 3kw portable charger (slightly bigger than laptop charger).
Since it is portable one, you need to keep it in the car ( they are providing a bag for that.

Check this YouTube video from 16.00 onwards to understand how the charger will look like:

Plug it in the wall socket, just like you charge the laptop.
The installation is for the power outlet, not charger - hope clarified.
Seperate wiring required considering the constant current rating and safety of wiring.
