In S mode, one can expect a practical range of around 120-130 kms.

Re: Tata Tiago Electric Review

Last time I had tried fast charging at Shell Recharge but it did not work. Today I tried again and it did not work the first time but it finally did work on trying again.

The car went from 30% to 70% SOC in 32 minutes. That's pretty quick!

The cost was Rs 203 for 9.2 units before tax. With tax, it came to Rs 239 which comes to around Rs 26 per unit. Fast but expensive!

Re: Tata Tiago Electric Review

Question?

Any idea why the Tiago EV is faster at acceleration compared to the Tigor EV

LFP and LI are usually put in two different insurance group, for sake of mv insurance.

Cheaper insurance quote.

Got a standard we'll get back you from Tata.

Re: Tata Tiago Electric Review

Hi everyone, I just got the delivery of the Tiago ev LR on 21st of June. After using it for a day i already had about 6 problems with the car.
1.Radiator sound / vibration of full car
2.Knocking sound while start up and switch off
3.Doors not closing properly
4.Charging cap not opening
5. Speakers making rattling noise
6. Hand brake not releasing easily
Anyway, sent it back to the showroom the next day itself to get everything rectified.
They kept the car for a whole week and finally sent it back after countless calls for updates. Most of the issues were rectified but the Fan noise when the AC switches on is still there and because of that I can feel vibration in the cabin. Tata claims that it's normal for this car to have such a loud noise and for the vibration to seep in. Still trying to get it rectified through warranty but even after talking to the head of ev sales for South India, the problem wasn't resolved.

The vibration is probably because of the cooling fan assembly. Mine was changed under warranty. Horn too,

Re: Tata Tiago Electric Review

A very important question. Is it possible to drive the ev on roads with 6 inches or more of water? It has rained heavily and the road in front of my house is under water. No matter how slowly one drives, water is bound to wash over a good part of insides. What is the safe wading depth for it? Thanks in advance.

Does the problem go away after replacement of the fan? These guys at the showroom just aren't agreeing to replace it at all!

Re: Tata Tiago Electric Review

My radiator fan vibration is also more than my Nexon EV.
BTW, the Nexon EV Radiator Fan was changed under warranty too, in the 2nd service, when I felt the vibrations on the steering wheel. It was ok after that. I believe it will be the same with my Tiago when it goes for it's first service.

Also, guys. A very silly question, but the dealership had put Ribbons on the car. I removed them the very next morning, but it was raining and the ribbons have run colour, and there's a mild red imprint in the shape of the whole ribbon across the bonnet. I want to take it up with the dealership, but they are trying to brush the matter away saying it will go away. It's been 18 days and the colour seems the same. It looks quite appalling, and honestly, unacceptable for a new car.

Please advice if I can do something at home without harming the paint coat.

Did you try washing it with mild shampoo?
Gentle waxing/polishing also should help removing the colour.

Yes it’s ok now. The vibration was so bad even the ovrm was shaking. Mine had done just 2500km approximately then.

The color is limited to the topmost layer of your clear coat, use a good polish or a compound if polish doesn't work and it should look like new again. Also don't forget to wax/use a sealant on the newly exposed layer of clear coat.

It's actually the responsibility of the dealership to do the same. I am sending the car to them. Hope they dont damage the clear coat while trying to remove it.
