What do i do with my old Nikon Camera?

I have not been using my Nikon F70 (camera before digital era started) for many years now. It has a Nikkor Lens (upto 80 zoom).

I would like to know what can be done with this, can it be sold, who would be interested.

I currently have a Sony H9, autofocus digicam

Like others suggested, try sourcing it from US/Singapore/HK. Pentax provides very good quality at decent price. I am using the K100D, and it provides everything one needs for the casual photographer. With the pentax K7 being announced, there is a decent progression path too.
PS: The new kit lenses from pentax are weather sealed too. (the ones on the K7).

Any idea what could be the problem ?
kvish,
Could you please help me out here.

Rajismine, are you sure about this info that the Canon 450D can be bought for 35 K with warranty, at Xcite? If it is, then I think I'm paying Xcite Bangalore a visit today.

If the grey 450D sells at 31K, it doesn't seem likely to be able to get one with warranty for just 35K. Forgive my sceptism

mumbai resources

Hi all,

This is a Bombay based query. I have a canon 40d and am searching for a good place to develop photos - poster size. Ideally, close to Bandra/Kalina.

Also, looking for a good place to buy a few lenses, specifically, the canon 60mm macro & the 50mm f/1.8 lens [the plastic one]

Thanks in advance.

Best person to ask would be Sam Kapasi he lives in Bandra and he and his father are avid photographers.

I personally went to Xcite when I was given the offer some 15-20 days back. Grey market still calculates the savings on the mrp of 40K and hence the price is 31 here

Canon EOS 1000D with 18-55mm lens for Rs 26,995.00 from jjmehta.com with 2GB SD Card, UV Filter, "V" Shape Bag and 2 Years warranty from Canon India. Perhaps you may get it cheaper elsewhere.

Optical zoom in DSLR? That's a mistake I suppose.

Not everyone is aware of what a SLR is.
A couple years ago I had a difficult time explaining, to normal people, that there's a mirror in SLR and the lense is not a part of the camera. That happened when I was trying to explain the difference between a P&S and a SLR.

Now that scene further muddled by mirrorless SLRs.
