So fell for the watch at last. Till now was very apprehensive towards this gizmo, but hook, line & sinker.

Went to Imagine shop @Lulu Mall, Kochi to get Series 8(GPS) for wifey as a present. Saw the Ultra, say had an ulterior motive own one and with little nudge from my better half got the Ultra too, for myself. So literally a direct upgradation from Casio protek series to Ultra.





Ultra was not available the Imagine store. Waiting period of more than 2 weeks it seems, so went to my regular shop at broadway, where it was available off the shelf. So went ahead and bought this piece.

Don't know it seems the Series 8 consumes more power than Ultra for the same time period. Just an intial observation, might be totally wrong here. Technically also Ultra is GPS + cellular while the other watch is only GPS.


Also weird, not able to delete photo from my iPhone X (ios 16.1) in airplane mode.

NB: Went for screen guards for both watches. Is it necessary or wast of money? Total hit for guards is Rs.700\-

Congrats on the watch but the screen guard is a total waste on the Ultra. I would take it off Sharing the video again.

I buy stuff after due research and that I am in love with. No point buying an inferior product and keep complaining about 1000 problems it gives you.

Would rather pay premium and buy a classy & reliable product and a peaceful mind that it comes along with.

Apple fits into above slot nicely.

As said above, I will buy only if it blows my mind as my expectations from products that I buy is above average.

I am yet to meet Ultra in person (no hurry as well) and when I do and if it blows my mind, it will be procured.

My trip to Portland got cancelled due to a minor family emergency. And, along with it the urge to buy 14 Promax went out of the window.

Right now my complete focus in on admiring the "charging status" of my new device.

Had ordered the Trail Loop from Apple India e com store for the Ultra around 10 days back.
ETA was 15-21 Nov.
But it has arrived yesterday.
Shall try it. Im sure it is going to be more comfortable as a daily wear option because it is soft.

Trail loop is quiet comfortable. Have been using it for 2 weeks now. It doesn’t hurt the wrist at all.

Keep an eye out on the following websites 1) Amazon 2) Walmart 3) Target 4) BestBuy. The prices keep changing, and many of them will have Black Friday deals, when the price will drop substantially.

Got this for my daughter as I passed her the Series 6. Found it extremely uncomfortable to wear and completely takes out the user experience. So now packed for a return pick up by Amazon.

I used the second one. It takes away the user experience too because of the plastic screen. After a point I chucked the cases and have been using it as is. Feels great on the hand and the screen just looks nicer. You just need to be careful like you do for any other watch.
