Budget is limited to 4k.
Beats me, Why would you want to spend 4k on blower where as you can easily get it home serviced for 400 rs.

Re: The Home Appliance thread

On interesting bit of information. Very occasionally, wet service may be required to clean the condenser. Also, one of my window units had a very low air discharge. We had to hold a screwdriver on the side, and rotate the blower to knock out the stuck dust (small smart ticks) to make them work. Later I realised the same trick also works on the blowers in splits unit.

So, I zeroed in on Panasonic after I caught up with its features, the price point and later a demo at Croma. Could not check out LG at any of these places, and also was not able to finally select ona particular model.

Asked around for better quotes at Pana showrooms and Reliance Digital aswell. And finally got the Pana CG304 from Reliance @5995. (500 less than other lowest Q)

Does the job well, sound level is fine, enough of accessories. Hope it continues the 'good work' :-)

A quick googling on Borax reveals it to be a very good cleaning agent for clothes, when mixed with detergents. I am looking to get some for that use.

You're talking about Boric Acid. Boric Acid and Borax is not same.

Recently my friend bought a Sony Walkman for 1700 rs , this was for the Carnatic music classes. This should be available in almost all electronic shops in Bangalore.
