I have a pair of Bose in-ear headphones. The sound quality is much better than the Ipod stock earphones and the build quality is exceptionally good. It is extremely comfortable to wear ,even for long periods. The only flip side is the price. I got mine for $100 whilst in US.

There are other in-ear earphones which are easy on the pocket and comfortable to wear too. The sound quality is on par with the Ipod stock earphones. Creative has one for about $16. The model number is 51MZ0085AA007. My guess is that this model should be available here for about Rs 700 or Rs 800.

Have a great day ahead,
Prakash.

Abhi, I dont seem to remember the model number. I will try searching the net and see if any model resembles it. Its good enough for office listening for moderate volumes. Not good at high volume since the sound leaks out quite a bit unlike closed ear headphones.

If you want to use the same with ipods, I would suggest you to go for better quality ones like Shure or Koss. The ones which comes with the ipod are of very average quality.

If you are on a budget go for a SONY....( decent)

For a few dollars more you can get decent entry level stuff from SENNHEISER...they are my favourite..I have both earphones SENN MXL 51 ( to hear while im jogging ( lol ... im kidding myself there...) and headphones SENN HD280 Pro( for more serious auditioning)

My stock Apple video IPOD ear phone went kaput ( one side only, the foam of ear phone came off ) and i am a very delicate user and the sound is coming all grangy.

I want to replace them with a good earphone over the ear types ( some nokia models come with them for e.g N6600)if possible, as in-ear phones do not actually go inside my ear and it keeps falling off

Which ones you guys suggest and how much will it cost?

Those who are considering SENNHEISER, should also take a close look at Grado.

Got my EP-630s yesterday.
Very impressed so far, although getting used to in-ear types is taking a bit time.
The Sennheiser CX300 i heard from of my friend are no match to EP-630s, although Sennheiser is expensive by around 3k.

Guess, as they say the first choice is what you end up buying. Got a deal of 64$ for shure e2c. And man oh man, Dont I love them. Highly recommended, and ye don't wear them while driving/riding, very risky. I am finally happy with the kind of clarity I get with these. Awesome!

Shure e2cs are great for a gym to block out noise but certainly not for the roads. Besides I find them a little painful for periods longer than a half hour at a time - cant get a decent fit.

Try this site for great service
