Lol! Smaller than a micro sim. This is really weird, after starting using iPhone a person can't you use any other device because of the sim size!

You can always use any other device by using the converter supplied with the sim.

We don't have the nano sim to really check it out.
You are right. It's also remarkably thinner, in a good way.

It makes sense for all those who are at least 2 gen behind, 3G/ 3GS etc. in Europe there would be many considering that the standard contract term is 2 years. The hardware has also been propped up, so should be good to go for another 2 cycles of change.

The other biggest improvement is LTE. Though its irrelevant to India, it's a big step for other markets. and in most if those markets upgrades are subsidized (not saying its cheap).

@YashD: a shot with the "normal" SIM along with the nano.. Hopefully this gives you a better idea. The micro SIM was just less plastic compared to the previous gen. But in this one even the chip is different & thinner. Hence you can't cut the current ones to fit. I find it quite difficult to handle, dropped it twice.

Location services ! I keep this on only for Facebook. For other apps like Latitude , Findmyfriend it was also need basis only when on solo long drives.

Now that iOS 6 has almost useless maps , I might keep location Off for almost everything

Hell! That means need to get a new sim too. These small issues are really irritating. Waiting for the India launch eagerly now.

Friends when is the Indian launch happening? How long we gotta wait?:( And is Apple planning on a store in India anytime soon? Tired of indian dealers pricing the products according to their whims and fancies.

Airtel and Vodafone have already started manufacturing Nano SIMs. So all those with these 2 operators can relax.

Good news! Seems like now many manufacturers like nokia and Samsung too may use this technology! End of the micro-sim era :P

I had tweeted Vodafone asking them about the availability of Vodafone Nano Sims. They responded stating they do not have any information about it.

I have my doubts. The pic I posted earlier were that of my new nano sim vs the old one. As far as I can see they don't match unlike the earlier micro sim where the circuits seemed to match.

It may take a very long time for Apple Maps to be fixed - http://venturebeat.com/2012/09/23/ap...source=dlvr.it
