Hey folks, wifey just got an unlocked 1.1.4 iphone from Malaysia last week. Using it on Airtel network, works like a dream, no issues till now, except for its sms app. and battery life.

The dealer has also given a whole lot of apps, games to go, still have to check it out completely.

Bro congrats on your new iphone but frankly dealer doesn't provide any applications or games in your iphone , just do the following:

look for installer icon in your iphone and open it browse all the applications and games for iphone !just click the desired application and install it !!

P.S you need GPRS or wi-fii for installer working!!

That is not version 2.0. The new firmware has not been released yet. What you have is a beta/near complete version (1.2?) that was given for developers. Features are not locked yet and the code is varying. App store is also being finalized ....
So, I'd rather wait for the official version.

DAMN.. I want!

Need to watch if they are going to launch in in India any time soon. And lets also hope they don't kill the anticipation with some outrageously high pricing!

I am NOT buying another apple product unless it has local support - For that matter I am buying NOTHING unless it has 'extensive' local after sales support!!

WWDC'08 conference keynote on Iphone 2.0 and 3G

Steve jobs just finished the keynote for WWDC'08 in San Fransisco on Iphone!

And what have we here !! a new Iphone 3g with 2.0 firmware and what's the best it's just $200 for the 8gb model!!!Lolzzzz do sell the i phones asap mates!

$300-16gb
$400-32GB

Some features:
built in GPS
black back, new design
5 hours 3G talk time
7 hours video playback
10 hours 2G talk time
300 hours standby

FINALLY looks like its getting to be a usable business device, at least on paper. And at $200, one cant lose much by trying !

There is no talk about push-mail support, though. Wish it had a keyboard, but I guess you cant have the cake and eat it, too!

Brilliant.... but I have heard that it available only at AT&T stores at that price... you need to buy a 2 year plan from them. Its cheaper because AT&T is subsidizing the cost.

That would be the deciding factor for me to keep or sell my iPhone
