If you don't care about iOS updates then I suggest you can even buy iPhone 4. My dad uses an iPhone 3GS on iOS 5.1.1. Sure the newer app versions are not supported but apple does now allow you to download last compatible version. So basically if some XYZ app was once ever compatible with iOS 5.1.1 (in my case) then we can download that older version directly from app store.

iPhone 4 is good, but a friend advised me against it as he's unhappy with the performance post updating to ios 7. He says its too slow and my dad wouldn't be ok with that, since his android phone is almost lag free. So may be the 5c for now or 5s in a month's time.

I tried ordering the 5s on snapdeal when it was available for 31.5k,unfortunately couldn't get through. However managed to get another deal at 37.5k,not too sure of I should buy now or wait a month or so for offers or price drops.

I'm not sure how heavy the usage is, but 5c was available on flip kart for 24k for 8gb variant. User gets around 4.2gb of space to use.

It's the Standard Practice on Snapdeal. Snapdeal is spoiling the image of Indian Online Shopping. Before Flipkart, there were many Online Retailers, who've cheated the hapless customers. There are many among which I can name One name India Today Group. This was exactly the reason, Why COD - Cash on Delivery was introduced in India.

The newspaper ad said 31.5K from 12 noon. At no point did the price go below 40.5K on snapdeal. Rubbish deal.

Where did you get for 37.5?

It's now retailing for 29k or so for white 8gb 5c. I should've bought it in October when the prices were much lesser.

I mixed it up there. I got 37.5k last night when I ordered around 1am. Since morning, the site was too slow and I could never get to add 5s to my cart at 31.5 k. At other times it wasn't much of a difference compared to other sites like you said.

Hey, bought two iPhone 5s 16GB's from flipkart. Both within the month of October (at different dates) and i've got both of them for 37k. One Space grey and other one being gold.

Another friend bought it from Amazon for nearly the same price.

I already have my office mail, as well as TBHP account configured on there, and so didnt want to add the yahoo one as well. Also, i think its possibly one of the habits from my android experience where i had to download the app to use the feature.

As for the yahoo app, i put in a strongly worded feedback. I dont recall if there was yet another update, but it has been behaving better over the last 2-3 days.

Indeed the prices were much better last month. I bought off a 5s 16 gig for 35k and a 5c 8 gig for 24.1k. If you wait a month or so more, you might get some end of year deals. Or if you have someone coming from US next month, ask them to utilise Black Friday and come. 😄

Re: The iPhone Thread

iPhone 6 stock seems to be very very less or almost non existent currently. Ebay.in is a black market as of now thanks to sellers marking up the price and then insisting us to use the coupons to get 2500 Rs off and such.
I also asked one seller who priced the iPhone 6 16GB Gold at 57K to give me valid invoice of 57K since I am paying that amount. He told me he cannot give invoice of more than MRP (Rs. 53,500), So i asked then why he is charging more.
He says, supply is less hence markup. Desperate people will buy from these folks, not me.
Has anyone found any good deal on the iPhone 6 ?

It did go down to 31.5K by 12:15-12:20, and was showing that price for a good 20mins or so. Only problem was adding it to the cart, and I even managed to twice, but then my cart never opened, and by the time it opened, those two for 31.5K showed sold out. So obviously, like all flash sales, somebody must have managed to get it.

Actually this was a trick by apple. Before iPhone 6 launch they reduced the 5S prices heavily to clear stocks. It went down to 35K for a few days.

http://www.bgr.in/news/apple-rolls-b...drop-in-india/

After a week they rolled back to higher prices and removed the launch date of 6.

Even after 6 launch, prices never went back to that low rate.

Now it's close to 42K to attract people to spend little more and just got for 6.

Re: The iPhone Thread

I bought the 5S for 30k from Amazon during the pre-Diwali sale. Will be getting a cashback of 10% as well on my credit card.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Nothing wrong in bringing down the prices to clear stock! Its a win-win for the buyer if you want to buy that model; not that 5S is an outdated model.

Even I've successfully bought from Amazon for 30k for someone during pre-diwali sale.
