Re: The iPhone Thread

Got it replaced at an independent shop which came highly recommended and has a rating 4.5* on google and a certified technician. Probably should have stuck to a Apple authorized service center !

Re: The iPhone Thread

What’s with the new iOS 15.1.1 update? Just updated this on my iPhone 13 and my physical SIM card doesn’t show any network! The e-sim works fine though! Anyone facing this issue?

No issues to report on my iPhone12. Did you restart and check? It's a worrying thought

Re: The iPhone Thread

Since last couple of days I'm getting "iPhone Storage Almost Full" warning message even though there is more than 20GB of space. Phone is iPhone XR running the latest iOS (v15.1).

Any fixes for this? Search in web was futile.

Don’t do anything, seems there is nothing to do. Apple will have to fix this in another update.

Re: The iPhone Thread

iOS 15 update on iPhone 6S

- The phone feels faster than before
- Keypad disappears at times when using Search
- The big icons and its buffer zone has meant less space for text, making it compulsory to open the app to read the full texts, especially most OTPs

The update is required if you want to update/download any Apple-made apps like iMovie.

Turning over a new leaf, are they!? Doubt it, after they tried to demonize side loading. Right-to-repair is coming anyway. Why let others sell cheaper spares when their DRMed-to-the-gills gadgets are designed to accept "authorized" spares only.

There is something I am facing with my iPad 8th gen too on iPadOS 15.1. There is nothing we can do about it unless Apple fixes in one of the next 15.x updates.

Your iPhone battery isn’t the only component that degrades overtime. Other critical components which power the phone too near the end of their respective lives. Hence, only replacing the battery won’t restore the performance of the phone to near 100%.

I too had replaced the battery of my IP7 albiet from an authorised  SC; however, the performance of the phone reverted back to normalcy but it was nowhere near to how it was when it was brand new! The battery charge % too was dropping more than normal, (just like you mentioned above). However, the SOT was way better than what it was with degraded battery (in my case it had dropped down to 78%) and the overall usage was smoother; like the apps were opening faster, no frequent reloads, etc.

So, there is nothing wrong with your replaced battery. And yes, the third party repairers too have the original iPhone battery supplied by their OEM’s, so don’t worry about that.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Why does my phone show me the count of WhatsApp messages as one less in notifications than the actual number ?

Name: sc.jpg
Views: 271
Size: 70.7 KB

Here the notification shows that I have 12 new messages when I actually have 13

Re: The iPhone Thread

Picked the iPhone 13 pro and watch 44 mm, returning back to apple brigade after sometime, let's see how this journey goes. Loving the small form factor after using the one plus 7t pro mclaren edition for sometime, that phone was a peach too.

Is that one message from a group/sender who has been muted?

It may be a message from someone who, after sending the message to you, then deleted the message.

It may still show up as the original count (deleted message included).
