Thanks for the response. I went ahead and bought the extended warranty on Amazon. I called the istore customer service and they told me that the warranty on the new phone is showing till Nov 2020 as they are yet to close the ticket. They closed the ticket yesterday and the warranty on the new phone was updated to end on 26/11/19 which was the warranty end date of the old phone.

Please make sure you activate that extended warranty from Apple store. I thought the process of extending the warranty is best done from Apple service centers, as they need to activate it from their end. Since you hae only one day, hurry and visit their center today. If it is not activated and you don't see it till 26/11/21, I doubt whether it is in place.

I did check at the Apple store when i went to collect my device if i can buy the extended warranty on Amazon, he said yes and told me that they use the same service provider for extended warranties. I bought the warranty yesterday evening and its already activated on the Apple Warranty coverage website. I am yet to see it on the device under settings and was told it will take a couple of days to reflect on the device.

Re: The iPhone Thread

My iPhoneX is ghost typing. It even filled up few forms and dispatched them with gibberish. I dont want to replace the glass since the seals will be opened up, and the phone will lose its originality. New Iphone11 pro, 256 Gigs is coming to 1,13,000 online, 512 Gigs is coming to 1,23,000. Then there is Rs. 6K to 7K off on HDFC card. Exchange would mean maximum Rs. 7,500 benefit I'm told. Considering all options now.

Do you have option to source from the US? Unlocked international variants are significantly cheaper (11 Pro 256 GB is 1200-odd USD with taxes, cheaper than the base variant price in India).

Check cashify. A quick search says a 64gb X will fetch 34k in Bangalore.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Oh yes I have that option. I'm inclined towards the 512 Gigs, since I consume a lot of storage. Will get it from US, then.

Re: The iPhone Thread

My iPhone 6 Plus battery has aged now and requires frequent charging. Does anyone know what is the replacement cost at ASC?

Check the other option: buying iCloud storage and putting your Photos/ Documents on it rather than paying more for device storage upfront.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Yeah, sure. I'll buy more storage. The problem occurs only when the iPhoneX heats up, and is a known worry (as per the online forums

This is quite a good price. For me they quoted 5500/- for battery replacement of iPhone 7 here in Goa.
Does the price differ citywise? Ideally I believe it shouldn’t since the Apple products are priced the same across all the states.

I think your phone might be covered under service program and this problam should be rectified without paying a single rupee. Check this link and visit authorized service center:
