![]() Okay so here are my first impressions with Xiaomi Mi3. - Its FAST. Witnessed no lag at all playing Real Racing 3 at highest settings. - Feels really nice to hold. - Very very good build - UI is AWESOME and very cool - Android 4.4.2 - 11.91GB free at first boot - GPS lock in 4 seconds. - Able to uninstall all non system apps. - Antutu score 34168 w/o rooting - Good call quality and speaker sound. Did not experienced any call drop till now. - Camera is Very Good for outdoor conditions and OK for low light. I felt hardware is very capable, software needs tuning. Summarizing, I am amazed how they can put such a great device together in just 14k! PS: Flipkart needs to up their game big time. The page was not loading at all yesterday due to heavy traffic. Same happened during MotoG/E launch. Let photos do some talking and feel free to ask questions ![]() The gorgeous display ![]() Volume Rocker and Power key ![]() MiniUSB and Speaker ![]() ![]() Full size sim slot and 3.5mm jack. No headphones. ![]() USB cable, Charger unit came with package. ![]() Antutu ![]() ![]() First is in Fluorescent light and second in full darkness. Also a random shot. Did not play with settings which are many! ![]() Last edited by akshay380 : 23rd July 2014 at 07:17.

![]() For those of you who have not yet seen the new Material Design that Google is bringing in Android L, do check out the latest version of the Play Store app (v4.9.13), for a taste. While the whole Play store has not yet been shifted to the new design, the new app pages certainly have. Material design focuses more on pushing more content to the user, and on making the UI a whole lot cleaner. Android has certainly come a long way from the ugly mess it used to be in the old Donut/Eclair days. ![]() Last edited by Speed.Demon : 23rd July 2014 at 07:38.

![]() I too have ordered the Xiaomi Mi3. My only concern is the higher SAR rating of 1.29/10g of tissue, which is high, although within permitted limits. The limit is 2/10g and Galaxy s3 which i'm using right now is just 0.342/10g. For comparison, iPhone 5s is 1/10g. For all those who ordered, keep it away from your genitalia, and use bluetooth headset for long duration calls Last edited by Raghav_K : 23rd July 2014 at 10:36.

![]() Bluetooth headset is also not health friendly. Some manufacturers also test Bluetooth+WiFi+Mobile signal combine for the SAR. Heard that the Moto publishes combined test results. Wired headset is your best friend for long duration calls. Last edited by tbppjpr : 23rd July 2014 at 11:54.

![]() Got my Mi3 delivered today. Absolutely fabulous to use specially after using Sony Xperia mid range mobiles for past 2.5 years. As aksay already mentioned, Its Fast. Has a iPhone/iPad style transition effect, like it has a smooth transition not too fast but its not laggy, difficult to explain but who used an Apple product will understand it. One thing noticed, while setting up the phone with all apps using wifi, phone is heated up a bit. Same while playing some HD games. Hope this wont be there on regular use. Already there is a MiUI update with stable version available. Well so far so good, now to see the reliability if it can come out of the cliche of "Chinese maal" and live up to the expectation.

![]() Got the Mi3. Pretty good i must say, looks and feels premium and is blazing fast. Did not heat up while charging. It's a bit difficult to hold with one hand as it's big, but will get used to it i guess. The SAR ratings printed on the box are a bit less than what i have posted earlier. Around 1.1.
