I press back button and confirm the App exit. It never comes back until I run it again.

Now if you really want to 'Control' your Android from PC, try a VNC server app in the phone, and simply use VNC viewer in the PC. It works like a remote desktop session. Root access is required by any VNC server app.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Hi,
To all Note users.
I am seriously thinking on buying this mainly due to:
1. Good screen size, hoping to avoid taking/using laptop for checking mails
2. Better resolution than rest ( I think 1200X800) is the most resolution amongst all
3. Dual core is sufficient enough as I am not into gaming
4. I think S-Pen is quite useful

My questions are
1. can this fit in a trouser pocket or I will have to always wear shirt with pocket!
2. Is keyboard good enough, to type or I need real physical QWERTY keyboard
3. I want to browse AxisDirect occasionally, as anybody browsed AxisDirect on Note ( browser compatibaility ).
4. Sulekha offers this at 29700, is it a good deal or at anyother places it is available at better price.

Thanks in advance

JLS

Which VNC server you're using? I tried with droid vnc server, but never succeeded

I have been using Note for couple of weeks now and I got used to it's screen size. It will easily fit my jeans pocket but hard to sit (you can manage to sit but not comfortable). Would always prefer the shirt pocket. Keyboard is pretty good (really good for me since I upgraded from BB Storm).
Axisdirect works fine although I didnt explore it deeply. The huge screen makes browsing very convenient.
That's a good deal but check out ebay. You will get it for around 28,000k

Thanks for this tip CM. There's no thanks button in this section hence the thank you post. I was looking for something like airdroid to manage my phone.

Cheers!

Hhm. That's ok. Sulekha has it listed at 29700, with Cash on delivery.
This appears to be the best deal right now.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Hi Guys, after the ICS update my galaxy S2 fails to connect over Bluetooth to my laptop (windows 7, 32bit). Are you also facing the same issues? I can stream music over to my laptop but unable to sent text files or PDF.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Airdroid is nice. I wish I'd had something like this that worked under Linux for my old Nokia: the only available solution that I found then only worked with bluetooth --- which might be fairly common on laptops, but is not on desktops.

Yes, it seems to stay resident in memory but I wouldn't worry about that. Stuff in memory is not a problem unless it is a problem, ie unless it is preventing something else using memory. Unix/Linux has a tradition of keeping stuff in memory just-in-case. It is not like the DOS/Windows tradition of just using up resources until they are all gone. There is nothing virtuous about empty memory!

But, of course, one can always use the task manager to kill it off.

I am using this:
Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods-vnc.jpg

Its name is just VNC Server, hence I showed the icon to find it from Market. BTW, hope you're rooted.

Of course rooted I tried with something called droid vnc server and got it working. Everything went well except the refresh on PC seems not satisfactory. How is it this one?

Same case. It seems no matter which VNC server, the image gets drawn slowly in the PC sometimes.
