Ya, I have installed these and checking. Comparing it with the screenshots posted by other users, I don't see any 'Deep sleep' section in CPU Spy.

Browsing through the ROM thread, I see many people are reporting this and a possible work around is disabling location services. Need to verify this.

That means your phone is not going into deep sleep at all.
Better Battery stats will tell you which component is keeping the phone awake.

I'm facing this same problem with Sygic on iphone too. It seems a standalone navigator is better in this regard. Incoming calls should not disrupt any navigation assistance. Also the voice-enabled turn-by-turn instruction feature gets disabled post a phone call interrupts an active route navigation mode. This is beginning to put me off phone integrated GPS system.

That is a paid app, no free alternatives?

Finally I was able to charge to 100%. BTW, I like MIUI Wakj GB lot more than JB.

Are you having a Defy with red lens?
I think that requires a battery fix (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1782832).

I am all set to return to CM7.2 unless you can give me a good reason why I shouldn't.
I had switched to CM 7.1.1 last September. Now after one year, I am finally on JB (thanks to Quarx) since last afternoon.
Overall, I am very impressed. There are no freezes or applications crashes.

Never used that ROM, but see my comment on red lens above.

I still suggest giving JB another try.

For me the process was exteremly simple. It was just that backup part took a long time for me before the actual upgrade, since I wanted to make sure that I have a way to get back to the old state or recover my user data, considering that Quarx has classified this build as experimental.

I didn't really like the JB look and feel. I am happy with MIUI GB right now.

Check out XDA. The developer has put a free version there for XDA members.
There is something called badass battery manager too.
BTW, just take out battery for a few minutes and re-insert. See if the problem goes away

I know its still a W-I-P ROM and certain things aren't working but I never anticipated this much drain. Any ideas?

Is it just the novelty factor?
Why don't you try out the official MIUI ROM for Ace?

Are you on CM10/JB nightly build? I flashed the 28/08/2012 build and battery ain't lasting for more than 12-15 hours. How about you?

Sorted! Disabling location settings did it. Thanks for the tips, will install BetterBatteryStat from XDA too, should be handy.

How old is the battery? Also did you try deleting battery stats in recovery?
..before a full charge cycle

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

I am on a custom ROM ICS for my Dell XCD35 and using Sygic 11.x (Got it through *other* sources). Its working all good but when I switch to navigation, it restarts the phone automatically in about 10 mins time randomly. Anybody faced similar issue with Sygic?

In that case, the link I sent is probably relevant. I think a separate fix was required in your case.

I'm also thinking of trying the WIUI JB 2.9.10 now.
I am not aware of WIUI JB.
I am using the build dated 4 September 2012 from Quarx.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1768702

So far, I have not encountered a single error/ issue (touchwood).
The battery performance is to difficult to predict since my usage is far from normal as of now. I am downloading some apps and playing around a bit.
Also no Facebook app installed so far.

But it seems that there is no difference between the battery performance as of now.

Google Now is a nice addition. But Google Navigation is splendid.
The photo gallery is blazing fast. The audio quality is the same.
GPS works fine (with Google Navigation).
I need to install Sygic and test it out.
Wifi: Don't have wifi, so I cannot test.
Camera works fine, though I have not tested much.
Flash works fine/ torch works fine.

Edit: Check out this deal: http://hurrah.in/samsung-/147-samsun...an-41-ics.html

Isn't it a good price?
