I didn't find an option to configure an Exchange account, only possible options are POP and IMAP. What protocol did you use to configure your office mail?

There are 2 apk's. One for Gmail App another for Exchange Services. If you installed Gmail App before installing the Exchange Service App you will have to force close the Gmail App, restart it for "Exchange" account option to be shown.

By the way does anyone have "Inbox" by Gmail invitation left, I'm looking for one?

However I would prefer a smartphone that so that I can run maps, email and twitter as well on the phone.
I used to use a Nokia E71; absolutely top notch call / audio quality (I seem to have clarity issues with my hearing).

In June 2013, I purchased a Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos, and it was even better. It has "Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic". I couldn't be happier. From a call clarity viewpoint, this is the best phone I've had in my life.

We needed a second dual-sim phone, so a week ago I purchased the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 Duos. This trumps the Galaxy Grand in every way, except call audio quality; it's much, much worse. It's simply not good enough for me. Despite having features she'll never use, I may end up giving this to the wife and taking back my Galaxy Grand 1 from her. She's quite a bit more tolerant of poor audio than I am.

The only problem with the Galaxy Grand 1is that it's obsolete and way overpriced.

Writing this more to alert everybody about the Galaxy Grand 2 rather than to help you, phamilyman sir.

I've a MotoG with 2 sims active, and will highly recommend the phone if camera quality is not an issue. I'm guessing the MotoE would be equally good at a lower price point - given that it'll be a purely backup phone. For the MotoE though, you should forget the fact that it has a camera at all.

I guess you would have to still install "Exchange service app" separately.Force close & restart your gmail app post exchange service app installation finishes.
Nkg77 has shared the link for it above.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

In a move that has shocked Nexus fans worldwide, LG has announced that the G3 will get the Lollipop update this week!

Seriously Google, people buy your Nexus devices so that they are the first to get new OS updates. What's taking so long? Chop, Chop!!

Quote:
SEOUL, Nov. 9, 2014 ― LG Electronics (LG) this week will begin rolling out the highly anticipated Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade for G3 smartphones starting in Poland this week, to be followed by other key markets in the near future. LG, the first global smartphone manufacturer to offer the Lollipop upgrade in 2014, will subsequently announce an upgrade schedule for other LG mobile devices.

This latest Android OS delivers a host of improvements including a new design language with added depth, shadows and animations. Notifications are improved with a new layout and color scheme and will be available on the new lock screen. A new security feature to strengthen the connectivity between devices will include enabling users to unlock their smartphone when it is physically near a pre-registered Bluetooth device such as the LG G Watch or G Watch R. Lollipop also introduces Android Runtime (ART) software to improve performance.

“LG is absolutely committed to giving our customers the best mobile experiences available and bringing Android Lollipop to G3 owners as soon as possible is a top priority,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “The new features and improvements in Android 5.0 will bring a whole new user experience to the G3 and make it even better than it already is.”

Additional details related to LG devices will be announced in the near future as the Lollipop upgrade becomes available in local markets.
I'm not complaining or anything, actually this does mean that Lollipop will have a very fast adoption rate, which is very good for android as a whole. I'm just wondering whether LG is rushing the update just to get the 'first' tag, and if the update will be full of bugs.

Yes, it was a huge battery drain issue when WiFi was turned on. But it has been fixed, so probably the factory images will be out by Wednesday, as per the current schedule.

The oneplus one clone/equivalent is the Huawei Honor (19.9K on Flipkart). The One is not scheduled to arrive until late this year.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

I'm sorry, but that's not true.

The Oneplus One is a much more powerful device, and it runs Cyanogenmod out of the box, which give it a ton of tweaking options right away.

If anything, it does have a lot of similarities to the Oppo Find 7.

I use the OnePlus One. It's a beast of a phone. Best bang for the buck android phone out there IMO.
