Non Camera Blackberry

I work in an office that does not allow camera phones. The only viable smartphone options appear to be Blackberry. If you are aware of any Android or other options let me know.

Ebay sellers seem to be the only source. I am quoted 12000 for 9650, 14000 for the 9700 and 19000 for the 9780.

I am primarily interestd only in getting my personal emails while at work, facebook and GPS with maps (dont know if Google maps works well with BB).

Which one would you recommend? Would the 9650 suffice my needs? Should the fact that all 3 run an older OS influence my decision?

I was referring to the non-camera versions of these models brought in from the US and sold after unlocking them.

They are identical except for the absence of the camera. Similar to non-camera iPhones sold briefly in Singapore but difficult to get now. These have no BB warranty, only seller's warranty.

Unfortunately BB does not sell the non-camera models in India.

Hi Team,

I need urgent help, my wife is on an official visit to Germany and Italy. Her BB 9700 crashed while she inserted Italian sim card. It was working we'll in Germany. She tried switching it ON with the German Sim and connected to Desktop client from BB but nothing.

Kindly help as to what can be the solution.

Thanks!

If you aren't able to reach to the home screen of the blackberry, the error could probably be due to a OS crash (hope it is not!) or an application related one.Found this on the support forums, read thru and probably give it a try!
Loading the OS could lead to loss of data if not backed up properly.

Thank you Kicha.
My wife has BB only for BBM. Never used it for corporate or emails. She is as tech averse as I am geeky.

I will send forth the steps to her and hopefully her office tech support helps with the same. It's an OS crash as the device doesn't ws how up on USB connection.
