I was told something similar by my dealer. The select version is likely to be 7.1-7.2 lakhs OTR in Mumbai.. About 30k premium over the discounted price.

In the last set of pics, the red looks good ! And from the side profile, the red one looks like an estilo crushed from the top ! They probably didnt add much features to keep the prices low I guess. So the strategy looks good. Now if they keep the pricing as low as 6.5L ex showroom, looks like a good buy ! ACC could have been added though !

Nice scoop Raven. There doesnt seem much of a difference in the three variants. IMO, with all the safety features the base should be the model of choice.

What are those insect enthused two projections on the front bumper which is so prominent in the red colour jazz; la Polo?
It would be interesting to know the price as it has a vital bearing on the Swift price and vice versa.
So the price reduction turned out to be a discount sale to clear stocks like textiles.
Honda, this definitely is not the way forward.

IIRC, the difference between Base and select version was hardly 12-15k in past model. Wonder how it will be around 50k this time!

What can be seen -

1) Prominent single center-fin under-spoiler on front bumper.

2) Slightly longer bonnet in front, with marked lines.

3) Chrome-sashed badge on front grille. (removable, I hope)

4) Large chrome-sashed badge on the rear. (just below the rear wiper)

5) New aerodynamic rear bumper.

6) Biege interiors.

7) Body-colored door handles.


Pics are of the Select variant, which would explain the absence of rear roof spoiler and fog lamps.

Seems like Honda has put generous bits of chrome all around the facelift, and the interiors should have more of it. Expect the X variant to come well-loaded in chrome (AC vents, door handles, etc.).


Also, all this new info gives us a price estimate of the facelift (all estimated prices ex-showroom) -

Base - 6.39 to 6.49L.

Select - 6.59 to 6.69L.

X - 6.99 to 7.09L.


Expect the Base to be slightly higher, if it comes loaded with Alloys as well.

Purely cosmetic. Engine, transmission, wheelbase, seating arrangement and body remain the same.

No source. It's purely my estimates.

And the difference is 40K between Select and X, quite possibly because of the fog lamps, roof spoiler, power ORVMs, chrome-lined AC vents, different (gunmetal) alloys (maybe?), chrome door handles (again maybe?) and a few other odds and bits involving chrome.

Apart from the rear seat reclining, I dont see anything new that interests me too much. Perhaps the only way Honda can make this work is killer pricing. I hope they have leanrt their lesson well
