Is exactly the same inside - colors are different but these may be different for each market.

Have to say Steer,it does look convincing in those colours as well.Move over Padmini, time for change. What place is this?DXB?
But is does have the new interiors.I peeped in from the side.

On a serious note the rear of the facelifted Siena looks more appealing than that of the facelifted hatch.

3.5 L should be a good price. As far as performance is concerned, there was no performance to brag about with the 1.2 NV anyways.Lets hope they plonk in an engine which is frugal and sprightly as well.I hope the 1.6 stays, atleast in limited production until the Grande Punto arrives.Only then should it be discontinued in the Palio.Just like Ford did with Ikon and Fiesta.

If Palio sells at 3.5 lakhs it will be the end of the road for the Xeta isn't it?

Now, small-engine Indica @ Rs 225,000!!

http://in.rediff. com/money/ 2006/nov/ 10indica. html

Now, small-engine Indica @ Rs 225,000
------------ --------- --------- -------
Tata Motors is giving its Indica a smaller 1,200cc petrol engine,
which is set to be launched next week. Tata Motors took this step to
get the benefit of a reduction in excise duty from 24 per cent to 16
per cent for small cars, as outlined in the Union Budget 2006-07.

In the Budget, the finance minister had defined a small car as one
that is not longer than 4,000 mm and with engine capacity not
exceeding 1,500cc for diesel and 1,200cc for petrol. The Indica is
3,675 mm long.

The price of the 1,200cc petrol variant of the Indica is likely to be
between Rs 2.25 lakh (225,000) and Rs 2.40 lakh (240,000), ex-showroom
Mumbai.

The Indica has dimensions similar to the Maruti Suzuki Swift and the
Hyundai Getz, but it will now have a price tag comparable to that of
the much smaller Maruti Suzuki Alto. The existing Indica Xeta petrol
car prices vary from Rs 2.92 lakh (Rs 292,000) to Rs 3.98 lakh (Rs
398,000).

The 1,200cc engine is a variant of the Indica Xeta's 1,396cc
four-cylinder unit and its power output is likely to be around 55 bhp,
compared with the Xeta's 70 BHP.

Though Tata's partner Fiat has a 1,242cc engine in its stable, this is
not a direct fit in the Indica engine bay. Also, it would have been
cheaper for Tata Motors to re-engineer their existing 1,400cc unit
than source it from Fiat.

I think Tata answered your question there 1100D.By the way,I love your signature .I think you should add a line to it though-
Every Ferrari is always a Fiat.
Both are as exclusive and difficult to spot on the roads.

Thanks , I was going to make a slight alteration anyway, by adding a "not the other way round" to the end of the statement!

Technocrat,
The face lifted Palio is the same as you have shown, but the interiors are not going to be changed, according to ACI. So, it is the same drab interiors with a little exterior dressing. Ofcourse, there will be a 1.1 lit engine (instead of 1.2?) which will churn out 54 horses or thereabouts, but apparently, the torque spread is in such a way that it will provide good low end torque for city driving. No news about new Palio 1.6. No news about Petra and Adventure facelift either.

Cheers,

The NEW FIAT PALIO!!!!

Its out.... the New Fiat Palio has been spotted without any disguise. It has hugely failed my expectations and if I am right many of you would think the same. The front is still acceptable with time but the rear.... lets just say that the bold image of the car is no more the same!!

Thank you very much,

Redcandle
