well Cargo MOtors(fiat-tata) and Tej MOtors (fiat only) confirmed the new car to be coming in march end.

Also to add that all 3 dealers in Ahmedabad dont have any stock of palio models except 1 silver 1.2 with cargo Motors for which they are offering close to 1.2 lacs discount.

Don't even know about their own products and recommend a Maruti

if the new Palio is going to come in diesel version also, will it be sold by TATA showrooms, as it could very well overlap with Indica Turbo ...

I don't think TATA would sell the NEW PALIO (Diesel). If they wanted they could have even sold the Old Palio Diesel and Petra Diesel. They know it well that Fiat Diesel Cars are Far Superior then the TATA Diesel and they don't want to kill their own products.

Our resident spy photographers, tushky and sajo, here is some homework for you guys

. According to hindu business line.com, Fiat has started testing the Grande Punto on Indian roads. I, personally, don't believe that news but get your camera's ready guys. Guys living in Pune and vicinity, please keep your eyes wide open!

My source has nothing to to with Fiat directly. However, they are the one's involved with the actual launch party of the car in Mumbai. It's confirmed for some time in April. Yes, that's April 2007! lol

No Idea. Haven't heard about FIAT trying to expand its dealership network...As of now, just using the TATA network. Let's see what others have to comment on this

If Fiat want to sell more cars than they need to launch before 15th to attract Maruthi customers (before maruthi raises price).

During my meeting with FIAT in mid dec 2006 on behalf of Fiat Club India, they had mentioned about the tesing of PUNTO with ARAI etc.. all over and stuck up with some Excise norm regarding the size of it.

...But after seeing this picture gallery, i changed my mind
