Didn't quite get you. Maruti doesn't have anything in store for the RS. Its just a stickered up version of the regular Swift. If you meant the features, its already been discussed here - http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian...-launched.html

Looks awesome. If released in India, it is sure to rake in huge numbers with Suzuki's reliability and low cost of maintenance. But I doubt the interior quality of the Indian version can hold a candle to the European version. We are continued to get serve inferior quality products

Re: Maruti’s plans - Upgraded Swift, SX4 Crossover and an 800cc Diesel car?

Source: http://suzukifan.com/2013/07/06/more...ent-hatchback/

News about the S-Cross sedan which was shown in China earlier this year, and a hatchback version of it:

"Suzuki is developing a model that will replace the Kizashi D-segment
sedan. In this occasion the new car will change position from D-car to C- car inorder to capture more and wider customer group."

"The concept have 4,600mm length, featured a 2,750mm long wheelbase. compare to the Kizashi that measures 4,650mm long and 2,700mm wheelbase.that enables it to offer a decent amount of rear legroom. The sedan version of the car will arrive late 2014."

"According to latest report from just auto,Suzuki will introduce an European “Small Family Car” that means something like compact hatchback around Volkswagen Goft ‘s size.SuzukiFan is strongly believe that the Authentics concept will also be made in hatchback version. And will share front styling and machanic with the sedan. "

So, the S-Corss is coming in 3 versions - an SUV, a sedan and a hatch back, just like the current SX4 when it was available in US and other international markets.

But sad to hear that Kizashi will be replaced by this car.

Maruti wake up. Launch this and can compete head on with the Ecosport. If needed mount the spare wheel in the hatch door.

That is almost RS 1.5L more than the current pricing of SX4 SUV in UK! So, if this S-Cross comes to India, it will be priced around 9L.

Re: Maruti’s plans - Upgraded Swift, SX4 Crossover and an 800cc Diesel car?

My guess is Maruti will pitch XA Alpha against the EcoSport and obviously price it a 50K-1L below Ecosport.

S-Cross will most likely come as a sedan only avatar !! Even if it does come in SUV style it will be oddly placed above 10L (Looking at the current SX4 pricing !!)

Any idea which is the 1.6 Diesel engine used, does Suzuki have license to use 1.6 Fiat Diesel in European markets ?

This car does look to be near the Ertiga. Some design cues have been borrowed. Though the Kizashi replacement look like the Chevrolet Cruze. The Indian division at Suzuki is not much bothered and is happy selling Estilo's, A-Star's hat give no number to the company rather dump these and concentrate on the model that sell. Refine them and pimp them up (Not with Chrome )

Like the interiors of the SX4 Crossover. Below is the picture from the link in the above post.

But YES MARUTI, get this car on the Indian shores with the new Swift Sport with the regular engines and a 1.6L petrol as a limited edition. Lets see how the sales chart read.

Cheers,
Anurag.

Re: Maruti’s plans - Upgraded Swift, SX4 Crossover and an 800cc Diesel car?

Lovely car.
I saw a lot of the current gen SX4 Hatchback cars on a recent visit to S E Asia.
Great lookers and highly functional too.

Wish they would launch the SX4 crossover hatch with 4x4, all safety kit and ESP etc in India - it is a highly buy-able car!
