Looks very obvious to me. You should go with the ebay piece. But do inquire with some spare parts vendors, just to be sure. Fog lamp assembly seems too costly at the Toyota A**.

Skoda quoted 4500/- for Fabia's LH Fog Lamp, which I thought was too high. Though vehicles from different segments, surprised that the Fog lamps cost so high. Wonder how much Ebay charges for my Fabia. Any idea?

Not sure of the Fabia, but for the Rapid, it costs in the region of 1600/- per piece. This was from the Skoda Service center when a friend enquired some time back.

Need your help. One of the tail lights of my Honda City ZX is broken. I'm being quoted around 5500/- by Honda Authorised dealer while a neighbourhood garage has quoted 2800/-. I'm not sure why there is so much of a price difference. Is the price quoted by dealer correct? Is the tail light assembly so costly for the Honda City ZX?

Yup at the A.S.S that is the correct price. The A.S.S will mostly give you an original tail light.

The 2800 must be for locally made ones.
If the car is old and you do not wish to spend a look around you can also get them for 2,200 - 2500. These are Delhi made ones.

Thanks for the info Captain Slow. Would try to get more details about the part from the neighbourhood garage. If it is locally made then I would give it a pass and would opt for the original part from the dealer for peace of mind.

Badly damaged my new i20 right rear door today while getting out of my parking.

H.A.S.S personnel took a look and said the door needs to be replaced. Total cost for door replacement and a few touch-ups here and there - INR 19,000.
Time to be taken : 4 days.

Insurance should take care of everything - I'll need to pay about INR 1,500.

My car is just 1.5 months old and will get first service done with this.

Does this sound right? Both cost and time estimate? Or should I check with Trend Auto?

Sounds about right. The actual work is only a day or so, the remaining is for the insurance process.

Do they have doors available readily? Of the same colour? I was reading somewhere it takes up to 15 days to get the job done as they have to get the door shipped from the factory.

Colour is always painted at the service center, they may be having the doors in stock, but would be without any colour. Same is with the bumper and for that any spare part AFAIK.

Oops ! Pressed the "Thanks" button instead of "quote"

Now coming back to topic, I think they don't keep stocks of painted doors or rather any body panel. They simply paint it in the required color when the need comes.
