@Coolclouds, Be ready to spend your day there along with your car. Only way to leave the workshop on time is to shadow the mechanic.

Did the new weather strip that you changed have 2 rubber layers? I saw brand new innova in the showroom having 2 rubber strips joined together. The rubber strip in the body also has 2 layers. Guess this is to allow for better noise/air insulation. Mine is a 2009 GX model, but it has only one strip. So wanted to change them. At speeds > 120 I hear lots of hissing sound. And literally I cannot hear anything from my amp. I have to keep the volume at 40+ to hear something. Normally the volume is at 10-15 for normal driving.

Forgot to mention, the prices are one and the same at all Toyota dealerships. You may get them at lower rates if you are able to get these parts outside.

Ford Fiesta May 2010 model.

I managed to reverse into a pole at the parking today.It not my regular spot had to go there sine some else parked in my parking. When I got out I saw that th eleft tail light has cracked .. there is a visible line on the bumper and a small dent on the body over the tail light.

Called up the dealer (in Hyderabad) got a quote of 3000 Rs for the rear tail light alone :(
Will have to go to him to get the rest of the estimate.
Does the rear tail light really cost that much ? (Ford says they have been bringing the prices of the spares down )

Dealer says that for some old model the tail light costs 1700 . I don't see no difference between the early fiestas and the current ones who the difference ?

Help/ advise ?

Did 1,00,000 kms service at SVR Mitsubishi, Bangalore today.
The total cost was Rs. 9438.00. I got the appointment for 10-10.30am on 12th July but later received another sms that it is fixed for 9.30-10am which I didn't notice.

Reached SVR Motors near Shell bunk, Bommanahally at 10 am and went for a test drive till Hosa road jn. The car was ready by today morning and took delivery at 4pm. Overall experience with them was very good.

I see the fuel pump for Fiesta costing 71K?

Thanks. I will put in some prices (source HM A.S.S.) for Mitsubishi Cedia, although some might say that is from a different segment.
1. Lower Arm (1): Rs 4850
2. Headlight: Rs. 16000 (unbelievable)
3. Strut: Rs. 6500
4. Windshield: Rs 8500
5. Alloy: Rs. 6000
6. Knucle: Rs. 10000

Did someone say, Cedia spares are cheaper nowadays?

Note: All prices are approximate (round figures), but very close to actual values.

Tata manza seems a true VFM in my opinion. I broke my front bumper due to negligent parking last night.
The Front bumper is quoted at 3200/- for Manza (black in color) and body color painting is 2800. All in all 6000/-
Not a bad price at all !!!!!
